Enjoy total privacy, including no contact self check-in, at this immaculate canal front home. Come relax and enjoy the convenience, seclusion, and comfort of our canal front, one level, "Twin Dolphin" home in the heart of the Florida Keys and Marathon, Florida at Mile Marker 48.5! With no neighbors on either side of the home, this is the ideal spot for personal space at our 100 foot wide lot in the middle of the Keys! The mangrove trails of Boot Key are only a 10 minute paddle from the backyard in the 2 provided kayaks. Twin Dolphin is situated on a wide, deep water, canal less than 200 yards from Boot Key Harbour, home to the ever popular Burdines and Chiki Tiki Grill. With plenty of dockage for your boat (up to 40') and space at the house to park your boat trailer, and just around the corner by water from the beginning of the famous Seven Mile Bridge, this is truly a vacationer’s paradise. Sombrero Reef, with its crystal clear water, is a snorklers and divers delight which can be reached in a very short boat ride from Twin Dolphin! Bring your own boat, rent one here or charter a fishing or dive/snorkel trip. The options are truly endless! Beautiful Sombrero Beach is just a kayak paddle away through Boot Key Harbor in one of the 2 provided kayaks.

Closer to home, in the canal front backyard you can clean your day's catch waterside at our fish cleaning station, wash away the heat and salt of the day in our private outdoor shower and settle in for some relaxation or swimming in our 16' heated (or not!), jetted swimming pool spa. The shade of the tiki hut is a perfect setting to enjoy your morning coffee, your nightcap, and everything in between! And of course, the waterside hammock under the coconut palms is the ideal location for those much needed siestas! For the more energetic, you can drop the provided kayaks in the water and explore Boot Key and the surrounding canals. You're likely to see Manatee, Dolphin and a wide range of fish and other wildlife!

Indoors, you'll find Twin Dolphin very accommodating for your vacation needs and comfort. The amply supplied kitchen provides everything you should require for preparing the simplest to the extravagant meal. With granite countertops and plenty of workspace, looking out to the beautiful patio and beyond to the water should make "kitchen duty" a breeze! The Twin Dolphin dining table seats 6 in our cheerful sun/dining room; however, most opt for meals under the TikiHut. The living area is perfect for air conditioned relaxation while enjoying your favorite shows or sporting events on the new 60" television with DISH TV programming and internet capability. The 2 bedrooms feature queen size beds, plenty of closet and drawer space, and one is equipped with an internet capable television with DISH TV and a built in DVD player. The full bathroom has a tub/shower combination. There is also a comfy new queen size sleeper sofa in the living area for additional sleep space. The washer and dryer allow you to pack less and return home with clean clothes! The bait freezer is for your use during your stay as well. And rest assured, the home has central air conditioning for reprieve from your tropical vacation!

Located at Mile Marker 48.5, on a quiet residential street directly off of Highway One (The Overseas Highway), we're in the perfect spot for walking or bicycling as we're less than a mile from Publix, West Marine, the 33rd Street Public Boat Ramp, Walgreens, Home Depot, and a large variety of restaurants, including ocean front grills and bars! Twin Dolphin truly couldn't be in a more convenient location by land or water. Come explore the Florida Keys at your home away from home, Twin Dolphin!

Please note, our home is a well constructed single family home with a yard and trees! Be sure to do your homework as many listings are modular/mobile homes situated on concrete slabs with no yard and the next mobile home just an arms length away. There will be no unpleasant surprises if you decide to vacation at Twin Dolphin!

Sisters vacation

My sister and I came to the Keys to celebrate our birthdays. We traveled around the area snorkeling sightseeing or going to beach in the mornings and then spent evenings having a few drinks while sitting under the Tikki bar watching the boats and manatees cruise the canal. Twin Dolphins is a beautiful cottage in a nice location.

Twin Dolphin Stay

A very good property to stay in. Clean and tidy. We enjoyed our two weeks here very much. If we were to have any criticism at all it would be that the view from the property was excluded due to the big boat being in the way. The greenery around the spa pool also needed to be trimmed back to make it easier to get in and out but this is just a minor point. Overall we would recommend this property to anyone wishing to have a holiday in Marathon

Amazing time!

The house was very clean and better than expected with updated kitchen. The kayaks were the best! We went out several times and saw manatees, a shark and many dolphins. We had everything we needed. Tiki bar, large hot tub, lounge chairs, on the canal in a convenient location. We would definitely stay again.

Great week in Marathon!

We enjoyed our week stay at Twin Dolphins! The home is extremely clean and comfortable. We loved the swimspa and enjoyed kayaking in the canal out back. The location is conveniently located in the middle keys. Easy to reach Key West or Key Largo. Close to Isla Morada.Plenty of fish im the canal as well as a manatee who visited with her baby! Did shark tour in Key West. Thank you for sharing your home. Would love to return!

Peaceful place on the canal

The host is the sweetest lady and very easy to get a hold of. This house was amazing. The beds were comfy. We spent so much time on the back porch and I loved spending the mornings on the hammock. The canal was perfect, we saw about 2 manatees a day and a dolphin one evening. My husband loved having his boat out behind the house so he could wake up and go fishing every morning. We will stay again.

Private and secluded

My husband and I stayed here celebrating my 60th birthdate. This house was emmaculate. The canal view was very calming and the lication was serene and peaceful. It was close to good eating places and two grocery stores. Its a one hour drive one way to Key West. The swim spa was nice to have on busy days. We would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking to relax in the Keys.

Feeling Low Key

We loved our stay at the twin dolphin. The place is exactly as it is described on VRBO. It was close to many awesome spots, although walkers take your life in your hands on the highway. Beds were comfortable but small for queens. Great dock to fish and people watch and the swim spa was great! Only 2 small beefs… there was never enough hot water and the cleaning crew working outside filled every trash can leaving us no place to put checkout trash. .

Great Florida Vacation

We enjoyed staying at Twin Dolphins house for a week and did not want to leave. The house is immaculately clean and the outdoor space is amazing. We spent a lot of time sitting under the tiki hut enjoying the rustling palm trees, fish popping up in the canal as well as the manatees swimming in the canal. We also enjoyed the provided kayaks and spent several hours exploring the harbor and canals. The location was great and we were able to enjoy many of the activities of the keys. The host communication was great and answered all our questions prior to our arrival with the packet she sent us. I would highly recommend this vacation rental.

Great for a boat

Nicely updated and maintained older home. It's located in a quiet neighborhood with trailer parking in front of the house. The beds were comfortable with soft linens. The shower/tub was utilitarian, but functional. It was easy to communicate with the host. Definitely met our needs and expectations.

Perfect honeymoon!

This home is absolutely perfect! Although it was hot during our stay, the breeze in the back kept it cool! The swimspa was great to dip in and cool off. The best part was being able to kayak with six manatees that came straight to the canal! We saw nurse shark, dolphin, barracuda, and a large variety of other fish. The location is perfect. Everything was perfect! We will be coming back.

Perfect vacation

This home has the best location to sit back and relax or boat out to your favorite fishing spot. Great access to either the Atlantic, gulf or Sombrero beach. Definitely our favorite location to stay in Marathon!

Great Marathon Location

This was a great property. Our family enjoyed the house - it was a convenient launching point for activities throughout the Keys. With the swimspa present, we elected to spend several days just at the house relaxing. Very clean, comfortable and well stocked.

Fabulous week in Marathon

We had a great stay at Kathy's house in Marathon. Communication was top notch from the minute we inquired about renting up until our departure. House is exactly as described. Cute (very clean) older home that fit our needs perfectly. We loved being on the canal where we saw lots of different wildlife. The guys enjoyed fishing on the canal where they caught a nurse shark, snapper and tarpon. Bonus was that the canal was very quiet with very little boat traffic. We didn't rent a boat for multiple days, but if we would have the dock would have been great for tying up a boat. Dryer decided to quit working the day before our departure (of no fault of the owner's) and within an hour she had her service guy out. By the end of the day we had a new dryer. House was great and was lacking nothing. If we are ever back in the Keys we will most definitely rent from Kathy again and look forward to our stay at Twin Dolphin.

Great stay

Me and my wife stayed for a week and overall it was very relaxing! The house was very clean and being able to relax in the backyard under the tiki hut and going in the swim spa was really enjoyable. The only downside that we had was that we didn’t know the house across the street had access to the right of the property and they could see everything we did while we were outside so it lacked privacy, just would of been nice to know that or if there was some kind of screening in between yards so you didn’t see one another.

Fabulous week in the Keys!

This was our second stay at the Twin Dolphins house, and it did not disappoint! Lovely, adorable home…has everything you need…great location. Rented a boat this year and that makes all the difference. Saw lots of wildlife, including FIVE manatees on Wednesday - three adults and two babies. Just fantastic!

Great Florida House

My girlfriend and I enjoyed staying at Twin Dolphins house for a week in January. The house is immaculately clean, the outdoor living space makes the house seem larger. I spent a lot of time on my laptop under the tiki hut next to the hot tub. It was safe and quiet, I could work out there any hour of the day or evening. The only sound was the palm trees swaying in the breeze. I very nice place.

Amazing stay in Marathon, amazing property host!

This was our first time renting a property to stay instead of a hotel. I’m so glad we did! Kathy was so amazing! She is prompt with any questions I had (and I had many!). The property was very clean and just as advertised. The swim spa was utilized every night. It is in a wonderful location next to the canal and around all types of activities and stores. You can’t go wrong booking with Kathy and the properties she has. She also has a beautiful home right across the street (so if a couple of families are going that would be perfect!). Would definitely book another stay. The only downside is I’m now back in Pa where it is cold. Thanks again for an amazing time.

Second Stay's A Charm!!

This is the second time that we stayed in this property and we continue to love it as much as the first time! This gem is perfectly situated whether you just want a great waterfront view to relax or boat access and fishing fun! We enjoyed a wonderful 5 days of the warmest and most beautiful weather that you can get in Florida at this time of the year! We also visited Sombrero Beach often, took our boat out every day to fish and cruise around, and ended every evening grilling by the tiki hut and relaxing in the hot-tub. What a lovely time all around.

Terrific Property!

We highly recommend this property. It was seriously the cleanest rental we've ever stayed in. We appreciated the very responsive and clear communications from the host - everything was completely seamless. Such a great, comfortable, well equipped home. The hot tub and tiki hut are fantastic! We also loved the kayaks and extra nice touches such as beach supplies (chairs, towels and bag), ample charging stations for devices, etc. We didn't bring our boat this time, but definitely plan to return and will likely bring a boat! Can't say enough about this terrific home.
