"The staff were amazing. Very nice and kind. The breakfast was good. The beds were a little hard. Really good taverna restaurant nearby with traditional food. Great location to rent a car and walk from the airport to. Easy. Great stay for an airport transition to or from Heraklion. Quiet room despite being next to airport. "

"Close to the beach & the airport Karteros Hotel is in a great location. It is also 20 mins by bus from the port. WiFi is good, the room is large with lots of plug ports & a good sized bathroom. Breakfast had a wide selection of fruit, salad, hot items, pastries, fruit juice, hot drinks & more. The pool is large but not heated so can be chilly. A lovely one night stay. "

"Terrible don’t stay here. Beds are as hard as a rock it’s loud till 2 am from a near by night club and planes flyover head all night long. Didn’t have breakfast as we had to check out early. Coffee machine had to be moved to plug in. Shower is extremely dark. Floors had a lot of water damage. I would not stay here again. "

"It was ok, we have stayed at the other two hotels, Stella Island and Stella Palace, and to be honest this is not on par with them. The food was very limited, not much choice and if you’re a fussy eater you might struggle. All the flowerbeds were overgrown and if you had a sunbed next to one there was a strong smell of cat urine. The drinks weren’t great, the soda had that off taste or dirty pipes and isnt branded. There were also cockroaches in our room that came from the toilet floor drain....

"This is a very nice, new and modern hotel. The breakfast every morning is very good and contains a lot of options and variety of food. We arrived early in the morning on our check-in day, and the staff was incredibly friendly and got our room together as soon as possible for check-in a bit before the standard time. "The hotel was lovely. Our room was very spacious with a living area and bathroom (with shower) separated by a door from the bedroom with king size bed and another bathroom (with soaking tub).
