"I’ve always wanted to stay at McNeils and it did not disappoint. From the massive yard, to the cozy cabin. It lies right on some of the best water on the brule, so fishing is made easy. Truly a memorable trip and unforgettable cabin. It was clean and we had all the amenities we could need. Definitely would stay again! "

"I wanted a trip to escape with my kiddos and be in nature!! This was exactly that. We enjoyed every minute and the best part was we were left alone. There was enough dishes for a family of 4. Theres a microwave, small toaster oven (I thought I could make puzza and you have to 4th the pizza to do so), there's a grilling grate, so we brought tin foil for burgers; super good. "Lovely upstairs apartment. Small deck was a great place to enjoy a morning or evening tea. Easy access to Lake Superior and to a city bus to take you downtown if you don't feel like walking or messing with parking. We loved watching the lift bridge!"

I love soaking up the rays on the patio and having a campfire in the evening . Just a perfect place to get some R&R. You wont regret staying here."

"It was 3 great days, being quiet but active. going between hiking and table games and cards. The lake pulled us back to its shores at least 3 times. and the light when we woke up was special. The trip to the out house gave me a star show that I had not seen since my last BWCAW trip. "It isn't terrible, but it isn't a 5. The two most concerning things were their posted Duluth rental license was 8 months out of date and the top step down to the apartment was falling apart. "

"This was an awesome stay for the weekend in February! The host (Dana) was great. It's more spacious in real life than in the pictures! Comfy mattress and a cozy room. "

"Perfect walkable location to canal and lakefront as well as beach access right across the road. Right next to Coast Guard station. A bit challenging finding the house on arrival after dark but everything worked out. Adjacent multi room Heirloom property is on main road but parking is shared; assigned spots may be taken by other house but again, we figured something out. Loved the house; customer service was excellent! Highly recommend!"

"This cottage is exactly as presented, comfortable, roomy for four adults with plenty of space to spread out. Thoughtful touches like snacks made the visit extra comfortable. We will definitely stay get the next time we are in the area. "
