  • Overlooking city park and located blocks from Campus, Downtown and Aggieville, the Thompson House is walking distance from Manhattan’s most popular restaurants, sites and shops. With two bedrooms and two ensuite bathrooms, featuring trendy furnishings and comfortable spacious areas, everyone can be together at The Thompson House. This renovated home, built in 1912 is ideal for a memorable stay in our special town.

    Unit #3 at the Thompson House is on the second floor of the property. Guests will walk up three stairs to access the main entrance of the property. You will then walk up a flight of stairs to your unit. Unit #3 is on two floors. On the main floor is the kitchen, living room, bedroom (queen bed), ensuite bathroom and large private front porch. You will walk up another flight of stairs for the master bedroom (king bed) and ensuite bathroom. There is plenty of off-street parking for our guests behind the house.

We really enjoyed this property. It was super cute, the perfect size for us (2 couples) and was a great location in Manhattan.

This was by far the best place I have ever stayed. Back in town this week again and unfortunately the Thompson house wasn’t available but another house by the same owners was and it is just as nice. It wasn’t even a question on who to contact for a place to stay!

If you are looking for an experience that will leave you wanting to stay longer, this is definitely the place. This will help you decompress from the work world and the stress of reality. We had such a great time. Such a beautiful atmosphere and a great sense of pleasure in this place. We are so thankful for the weekend at the Thompson house. If you have the opportunity, do not miss out on staying at this wonderful place. We are very excited about planning another trip to come and stay at this location again.We give this stay a 10 out of 10. Completely loved it.

4 Night Stay

This is a wonderful rental. Decor is amazing. Beds were very comfortable. Had everything we needed and more. Great location, quiet even though it’s right on a main street. Will definitely stay here again. Mary Ellen was very helpful and provided a lot of information. Wonderful experience!

One of the best experiences we have had with a short term rental. The communication with our host before and during our stay was incredible. The property was very well stocked with everything we needed including a first aid kit. The host has rehabilitated and decorated this 100 year old property beautifully, and has thought of everything to make our stay very comfortable.
