  • Newly updated studio at the Monache, perched on the 6th floor w/ excellent southern exposure and unobstructed views of Mammoth Mountain - a great space to curl up and relax.

    The Monache offers underground parking, free Wi-Fi, year-round heated pool and jacuzzi, fitness room, and an in-house restaurant/bar.

    Just steps to the Village for easy access to the Canyon Lodge gondola, as well shopping and restaurants. The Monache Resort is the ultimate place to stay during your next Mammoth Vacation!

    ***Please be advised the hotel lobby is undergoing construction/remodel. There is not a project completion date at this time.

    About the Space
    Mammoth is a premier destination and a world class resort - The Monache Resort holds true to this. This studio condo offers a perfect space for small parties of 4 or less. With the recent remodel and location, the Monache Resort is the nicest condo/hotel in town! There are stairs down the backside of the building that take you straight to the Village Gondola for easy access to the slopes at Canyon Lodge.

    The studio offers a king-sized bed in the living area, as well as a queen pull out sofa, and twin sized mattress in the window nook. There is a gas fireplace, central heating and A/C, creating the perfect ambiance during any season. The kitchenette is fully stocked and ready for cooking a delicious meal. The bathroom has a granite countertop vanity and tub/shower.

    We provide coffee, coffee filters, creamer, sugar, salt, pepper, and cooking oil. We also provide all linens and towels, shampoo, conditioner, hairdryer, soap, lotion, toilet paper, paper towels, tissues, dish soap, sponges, and trash bags.

    Guest Access
    You will have the entire studio to yourselves.

    As guests of the Monache Resort, you will have access to the amenities available, including: year round heated pool and jacuzzi, workout facility, coin-op laundry facilities, and a BBQ (shared). The restaurant and bar in the building, The Whitebark is closed for the remainder of 2026, they're planning to reopen for the 2026/27 winter season. **This is a privately rented property - guests DO NOT get access to room service, car/ski valet, and/or front desk/bell hop services.

    There is one parking pass permitted for this property. Park in any open spot in the heated, underground parking garage. Please ensure parking passes are visible in your vehicle. There is an electric car charger in the parking garage.

This was our second time staying in this exact condo, and it was just as great as we remembered. The location is hard to beat—everything in Mammoth is just minutes away, and it’s a perfect home base for exploring the area. The condo was clean, comfortable, well-equipped, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Check-in was easy, and the whole experience was seamless. We’ll definitely be back again and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Mammoth!

Our stay at our VRBO at the The Westin Monache Resort, Mammoth was absolutely fantastic! The condo was spotless, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing mountain getaway. The location couldn't have been better, just steps from the Village, restaurants, shops, and the gondola, making it the perfect home base to explore the mountain and the beautiful lakes that make mammoth a wonderful getaway. The spacious accommodations, comfortable beds, and well-equipped kitchen made us feel right at home. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and would gladly stay here again. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable, convenient, and memorable stay in Mammoth Lakes!

Great location - walking distance to the gondola and the Village. Beautiful view of the mountains. Cozy and nicely-decorated room with a kitchenette, which was convenient. Really enjoyed the Westin amenities too, like the restaurant, coffee shop and hot tub/pool. I also really appreciated that the hotel/ property was pet-friendly. Overall we had a great experience! Would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful location for a couple & their fur baby

The check in process was self check in and incredibly easy. Having access to most amenities was also nice because after a long hike the pool & hot tub really helped ! The Westin itself is very dog friendly and the manager always greeted our pup. Room was very well stocked with all necessities and very clean. Rental company was also very responsive and helpful. We had a wonderful trip staying here.

Mammoth

The instructions to tske my own trash out werent clear. Check in and out ended up being fine, but I wasnt aware before booking that I was going to be checking in differently than other hotel guests. The hooks on the wall that have shelves was a hazard. I got the edge of it with my arm multiple tines and uave bruises.
