As well as being a wonderful warm and generous host Maria is also a fantastic baker as we found out when she left some delicious home baked cake on our return from another sun filled relaxing day at the beach.The home was spotlessly clean and with everything necessary for a fabulous holiday.Maria and her lovely villa definitely get 5 stars from us.

I had a wonderful overall experience. I came to Crete looking for a restful place with my daughter and niece and it was perfect. We were welcomed with open arms and a fridge with food and we could eat from the vegetable garden. Everything was straightforward and without issue. Extremely clean, close to beach, fast wifi, perfect communicable host. Hopefully I will return one day.

Un petit coin de paradis

Excellent séjour dans une très jolie maison où rien ne manque et qui possède un magnifique jardin, une très belle terrasse ombragée, et où vous pourrez faire la sieste à l'ombre des citronniers. Un chaleureux accueil des hôtes, généreux et plein d'attentions. Excellent emplacement, la plage est à 3 minutes à pied et à quelques pas également: restaurants, boutiques et supérettes. Les paysages de l'île et les sites à visiter sont variés et somptueux. Bref un séjour inoubliable.

Prachtig Appartement

Wat een gastvrij ontvangst door de verhuurster. Koelkast was voorzien van het broodnodige en het appartement was schoon en heel netjes. ‘s Ochtends heerlijk in de tuin ontbeten, waar de citroenen aan de bomen hingen. Verder een toplocatie op een klein stukje lopen van het strand. Samengevat, helemaal TOP

A wonderful vacation!

Maria cares deeply about your visit and responds to any need. The house is wonderful with a lovely fruit and vegetable garden in the backyard. It is a very short 3 minute walk to the center of the beach and our favorite taverna, Mythos. There was a reserved parking place for our rental car at all times. The outdoor shower was fantastic. I highly recommend this property and hope to visit again!

Wunderbare Unterkunft

Wir waren drei Wochen in dem wunderschönen Haus, alles ist so, wie es auf den Bildern zu sehen ist. Wir kamen spät an, Maria, ganz tolle Frau, erwartete uns vor dem Haus und hat uns alles gezeigt. Ein gut gefüllter Kühlschrank, ein leckerer Kuchen, eine gute Flasche Wein warteten auf uns. Wir haben die Zeit sehr genossen, eine der schönsten Unterkünfte, die wir bis jetzt hatten. Vielen Dank.

Maison confortable, bien dotée et très propre, avec beau jardin et terrasse spacieuse, située à deux pas de la plage, des restaurants, des magasins. Les propriétaires sont très aimables et leur accueil est chaleureux. Nous y avons passé une semaine extraordinaire, inoubliable !

Exceptionally beautiful property. Cute and cosy, traditional Cretan cottage and garden. Well equipped by a thoughtful and generous host. Situated next to a wonderful beach with unlimited restaurant choices. All kinds of shopping within close proximity. We will be back !!!

Sehr schönes Haus in perfekter Lage

Unsere Familie, 2 Erwachsene und 2 Kinder (17 und 13) haben unseren Urlaub in Dimitra's Vintage Yard sehr genossen! Maria, die Vermieterin, war sehr hilfsbereit und hat uns einfach nur verwöhnt, ohne aber dass es zu viel oder aufdringlich war. Das Haus ist sehr komfortabel, der Garten sehr schön und der Patio lädt zum Relaxen ein. Das Haus ist super zentral gelegen: Geschäfte, Restaurants und der Strand so nah und dennoch liegt das Haus sehr ruhig.. Der Ort selber hat uns auch sehr gut gefallen. Das einzige, was schade ist, ist dass der Strand recht schmal ist und durch die Strandliegen wenig Platz ist. Die Liegen sind immer sehr schnell vergeben oder aber für Hotelgäste reserviert. Schade. Aber es gibt andere Strände in der Nähe, welche mit dem Auto sehr gut erreichbar sind.. überhaupt ist die Lage auf Kreta günstig für Ausflüge mit dem Auto. Wir sind Maria sehr dankbar, hatten einen wunderschönen Urlaub und können diese Unterkunft sehr empfehlen.

sehr gastfreundlich

Die Gastfreundschaft war großartig. Für den Anfang war in der Küche alles vorhanden, wir mussten nicht sofort einkaufen gehen. Besonders gemütlich waren die Sitzgelegenheiten auf der Terrasse, und der Garten - aus dem wir uns nach Belieben bedienen konnten - zauberhaft. Wir haben eine wunderschöne Urlaubswoche verbracht - und dafür vielen lieben Dank!

Hospitable and a wonderful house

We have never had a warm welcome like this before. The house is fully furnished, comfortable with a wonderful garden. We made lemonade from the lemons from the tree. The beach is close by, Agia Pelagia is a good place if you want to explore Crete. There are also a few beautiful beaches nearby.

Lovely comfortable vacation home

From the moment we entered the yard, we felt at home. Maria is so hospitable! She welcomed us with a homemade cake, some homemade raki and lemon liquor, milk, drinking water, sandwich fixings, and homemade preserves. Her English is very good. She checked on us a few times to ensure everything was working well in the home. We picked a few lemons and made fresh lemonade. YUM! If we ever get to return to Crete we will stay here again.

We arrived on a hot sunny day, Maria the host let us into the house early as we were already in Crete and had to be out of our first place of staying before the time of the second. Maria was there to personally welcome us into her home and tell us about the history of it. She welcomed my Husband and I with open arms, cakes, pastries, a fridge full of items to start us off and Raki and Wine. She was on hand if we needed anything but left us alone if we didn’t and was very helpful and informative. The house and Gardens with fresh fruit and hens to help yourself to we’re just stunning and sometimes we were happy to just sit in the garden and enjoy the relaxation. A characterful oasis in the village of Agia Pelagia

A lovely, well equipped little house and with a lush garden. A perfect retreat. Booking and all communication before arrival were handled efficiently and promptly. Maria welcomed us with warm Greek hospitality and plenty of home produced treats and was on hand if we needed help or advice. All perfect - thank you.

We had a wonderful time at this home away from home. Maria is an amazing hostess who did everything to make our stay very confortable. She even made time to coordinate the flowers delivery for my birthday and made a delicious birthday cake for me. She also brought home-made sweets for us. I felt like I was visiting my sister who lives in Crete. We would return to this beautiful home again. Many thanks to Maria, Dimitra and Emmanouel. Your hospitability is countagious!

EXCELLENT STAY, FANTASTIC HOUSE!!!

Dimitra's vintage yard was the best house I have ever stayed in my vacation! Helpful and friendly owners, welcomed us with Raki, the original Cretan drink accompanied with loukoumades ( donuts dipped in honey ) !!! What a great start for our holiday! The house is close to amenities, 2 minutes walk from the beach. it is equipped with everything you might need. Owners helped us hire a car and recommended places to visit, helped us arrange our day trips. Emmanouel and Dimitra, it was a great pleasure meeting you, we will definitely come back for longer stay!!
