The kitchen needed some additional items such as tea or coffee mugs as there were only 8 mugs available and we had 13 adults on our trip. The Keurig needed to be descaled.Plenty of space for 13 adults to be comfortable during our stay. However the lower level had many different interesting bugs coming in out of the cold during our stay.

Roomy and modern

We were having a family gathering in the mountains. We really appreciated this large home. This included five couples. Everyone had their own room. All beds were king or queen. There were several bathrooms, great kitchen, living and dining rooms for gathering. A grocery store was a very short drive away. The neighborhood was quiet and nice. Internet was reliable. Air conditioning worked well. There were three stories, but the stairs were no problem for us. We absolutely would stay here again.

Nice but description not accurate.

This home had lots of great bedrooms and living room space. The dining room is small. There was no where large enough for our whole group to eat together. The kitchen is definitely NOT fully stocked. They had dishes and a few other things, but plan to bring anything else you might need. There was only 1 dish towel. We had to request to get a sponge or more towels so we could at least do dishes, etc. Overall the house was relatively clean, but there was a bug issue... Primarily in the basement master suite, spiders and earwigs. The biggest issue, though, is just that the house didn't match the description. No pool. only 1 bed (not 2) with the crib in the attic bedroom, no jetted tubs, no bidets, only 6 chairs (not 8 as pictured) in the dining room, not on a lake... all of these things were listed or shown, but not present.We had a good stay, but we recommend the owners update the listing to be more accurate.

Enjoyable location

2-5 Aug 2024 Modern house with an excellently furnished kitchen. Spacious yard. Solid air conditioning and a nice hot tub. The website needs updating. Breakfast (cereal and pancake mix shown in photos and stated on page) is no longer provided. The house is on 3 levels. It is no longer configured to sleep 20. Three bedrooms (one connected to a bathroom) in the walkout basement sleep 6 and a trundle-bed (not 2 bunks) can sleep 2. The main floor has 3 bedrooms (including a master w/bathroom) and sleeps 6. The upper floor has only one bedroom and sleeps 2 with a crib. Not counting the crib that is 16 with everyone sharing a bed. There are 4 ½ bathrooms as stated, but no jet tubs or bidets. The owner tells me he plans to update the web page. That said, we were 12 people: 5 adults, 4 teenagers and six kids. We fit well, enjoyed the space and quiet. Large common areas for talk and plenty of places to go for some time alone.

FALSE ADVERTISING-Mice, spiders, lack of cleanliness and communication

I rarely leave a bad review b/c I like to give people the chance to take accountability for their actions. However, since the owner refuses to communicate or come to a resolution, I will notify potential renters of our experience.To start off, we found mouse droppings under the kitchen sink & in drawers, & there were spiders all through the house. One of the comforters had blood stains on it. We rented this house based on its high rating, which now seems likely to be from friends & family of the owner. I wish I had seen the June 2021 review that mentioned mice. The hot tub was full of mold & mildew as was the upstairs washing machine, sheets were unwashed & smelled bad. We had no choice but to stay as we had driven six hours to get there, & there were fourteen of us all who found the conditions unfavorable. When we contacted the owner, he offered no apologies or refund of any kind. In fact, he just stopped replying to us. For over $2,000 for two nights, we expected, at the very least, basic cleanliness & no pests. The property could be nice, but the lack cleanliness is extremely disappointing & made our stay uncomfortable. Our family rented this house for a very special & rare family reunion & it was negatively impacted due to false advertising. I will also add that communication from the owner was poor. Ignore the high reviews; they are likely fake. My recommendation would be to find somewhere else to stay.

Great vacation rental!

Our group stayed here to celebrate a birthday and go to the wineries around the Shenandoah Valley area. This rental is great and I would definitely stay here again and recommend others to stay as well. The rooms were all very spacious and comfortable, and our group loved the hot tub. It was a little chilly when we stayed there so we didn't get to sit on the patio as much, but next time we go down hopefully the weather will allow it.

Luray Vacation

House was big and accommodated a large group. Property outside was spacious and cared for. However, just attention to simple things would have greatly improved the stay. There were no curtains in both the downstairs bedroom and bathrooms, tv remotes needed batteries , many light bulbs were out making rooms dark, and smoke detectors on the main floor had battery doors open and were not functioning. The major issue was a leak through a ceiling light fixture into a basement bathroom. The leak appeared to be coming from the bathroom above it . Because of this we did not use either bathroom. I contacted the host and after much discussion she agreed to have maintenance come look at it while we were there. However, no one ever showed up and therefore we were without the use of 2 showers for almost the whole stay.

Successful Team Retreat

The house was spacious, clean, and had all the amenities we needed. We were a group of 7 adults and we each had our own bedrooms with Queen and King size beds. The hot tub was amazing. The fire pit was fun. Doing Tai Ji outside was expansive. We cooked all of our meals and the house had all the pots, pans, utensils we needed. Plenty of towels. Very comfortable beds. Enough space at the dining table for group meals. Enough space in the living room to meet as one team. Overall, this was a wonderful stay that allowed our team to be with each other seamlessly.

Great Vacation Rental

This house was great. It was well stocked and the beds were very comfortable. Our group grilled and cooked all our meals and it worked out well. We enjoyed using the patio for eating outside and stargazing. The living offered plenty of sitting areas for playing games. We look forward to returning.

Shenandoah Gathering

This property was in a perfect location for the gathering of family and friends. Our visitor's wanted to see the Luray Caverns and the New Market Civil War Battlefield. We were 20 minutes from each. I would recommend this property for anyone wanting to visit the beautiful Shenandoah Valley.

The host's seamless communication made the booking process and check-in a breeze. The home itself was spotlessly clean, exceeding my expectations. The location was ideal for my needs. I couldn't have asked for a better experience, and the views from the deck were stunning. Highly recommended!

Weekend Stay

This fit the bill for a wedding weekend stay with young children and grandparents alike. We had a few issues (hot water had accidentally been cut off the first day) but the property manager was very communicative and was able to put everything in order. The neighbors are close by, but friendly. A great option for anyone looking to stay in the area.

We liked our stay

We enjoyed our stay at the property. Very spacious and nice floor plan. Kitchen was well equipped and the location was suitable. The only issue was that it was not wheelchair accessible (no ramp to avoid stairs) although it was mentioned otherwise in the description.

Great Holiday week with Family

We drove up from Miami to enjoy nice weather for the holiday season. There were 7 of us, my husband and myself and our 5 grown children (19-29). We had more than enough room and the house had all we needed. The kitchen is large, laundry room great, and the large couch and ottoman we used to watch movies and 2 of the kids fell asleep on couch and slept there the whole night. We went to Shenandoah Caverns, Civil War Museum, hiking the Dark Hollow Trail on the Skyline drive and Monticello...I would recommend all of these places. Ciro's Restaurant right in town is great!! Owner was very responsive to any of my texts. Highly recommend the rental.
