Pine Cone Cabin at Fort Valley

Beautiful country cabin with 2 bedrooms and bath. Fully furnished and comfortable with everything a Traveler could want or need. Bedroom with King Bed and Bedroom with Queen Bed including sheets, blankets, comforters, rugs. Country Kitchen with all the dishes, pots pans, utensils you could need to prepare your meals, washer and dryer, microwave. Living Room with woodstove/fireplace, comfortable seating for 6. Sun Porch with seating as well as rear deck and covered seating area on drive way side of cabin. This is a Home away from Home and is meant to be relaxing, comfortable, romantic and a fun place to be. Curl up with a warm fire and read a book or relax on the sofa watching a 45 inch flat screen HD TV with DirecTV Satellite. Other heat includes a propane wall unit. Window air conditioning in the Spring and Summer. The property sits on 1.5 acres surrounded by the George Washington National Forest on all sides with the Beautiful Passage Creek meandering through the valley. The Fort Valley is a valley within the Shenandoah Valley, which is very unique. Fort Valley remains unspoiled by any commercialism and remains agricultural and residential. The drive in either direction is spectacular and the vistas from the mountain tops are amazing and picturesque. Hiking, Horseback riding, antiquing, canoeing, kayaking, caving, ballooning, shopping, winery's are all in the area ready to explore and have the best times. The Skyline Drive leading to the Blue Ridge Parkway are just 20 minutes away as are the Luray Caverns and many other caverns and water falls. Relax and cool off at the blue pool in Passage Creek at Elizabeth Furnace on a hot Summer Day! Come explore Our Beautiful Fort Valley!

We stayed here for our anniversary and had the most wonderful time! Patrick was very kind and super quick to respond. We had everything we needed at this cabin. It was also easy to find. There's also plenty of hiking trails around, and any other entertainment you can think of is only a quick 20-30 min drive. We enjoyed drinking our morning coffee on the back porch and listening to the cows and other wildlife. It was also very quiet and peaceful out there at night.

Cozy cabin that was immaculately cleaned and made for a great escape from the city. Check-in/check-out was simple, and it was easy to settle into the place quickly. We enjoyed roadting marshmallows in the outdoor brick fireplace which was well stocked with firewood and kindling.

All in all everything was about as perfect as you could ask for it to be. Patrick was absolutely amazing and made sure we got there safely and made sure everything was as it should’ve been. The cabin was very clean and had all the essentials we needed as well. I will definitely be staying here again very soon.

The cabin is lovely. I was concerned about window air conditioners in the summer, but they kept the house cool quite well. It is a very cozy little place and I would definitely stay there again. The only downside for us was the long very curvy road we needed to negotiate to get to Luray and other nearby towns - it is a beautiful drive but can be tiring.

Very private house

Had a good time getting away from the city! The kitchen is well-supplied, lots of different places in the house and around it to sit, read, do whatever you like. Absolute privacy but not far from nature or supplies. Would stay again!

An Incredible Retreat

Pine Cone Cabin at Fort Valley is an incredible retreat from the bustle of everyday life in the city! Patrick and Dale have created the whole cabin atmosphere and yet with all the conveniences of modern living. You can feel like you're off the grid, or totally connected to the outside. The thoughtful additions throughout the cabin and extensive surrounding, well maintained grounds draw visitors into a feeling of belonging. We certainly want to come back to Pine Cone Cabin at Fort Valley!

Weekend getaway at Luray

Did a snowy weekend getaway at Luray. The cabin is absolutely splendid and only triumphed in warmth by the wonderful and welcoming owners. They were prompt to respond and maintained the cabin exceptionally well. When weather played spoilt sport they even let us stay an extra day free of charge. Can't recommend it enough

A wonderful stay at Fort Valley

Everything was perfect, to a T. We walked in and the cutest sign was before us welcoming us into the home. Evreything was clean and the hosts were the absolute best! They even mailed back an item we accidentally left there. Loved our stay. 10/10

Could not have been better!

The cabin is exactly how described. Very clear that the owners care about the property as well as the renters comfort. I communicated with Patrick throughout my stay and he gave me perfect recommendations for everything that I needed. So caring! The location is great. The local corner store is another gem. Locally owned. Felt like being in a quaint small town area but so close to DC. Hiking trails and wineries nearby. The cabin is amazingly stocked and has everything you'd ever need. Another example of the owner's attention to detail and comfort. Will definitely come back!
