Lovely detached villa with pool, beautiful gardens and fantastic views situated in the hills between Lucca and Pisa.
The property (220 sq.mts) has 5 large bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a spacious well-fitted kitchen, laundry room and elegant lounge leading to patio and gardens. Well furnished and very comfortable with every modern convenience. An ideal place to relax and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the beautiful surrounding countryside. Very conveniently situated, it offers an excellent base for day trips to most of the famous places of interest of Tuscany and it is only 30 mins away from the Versilian coast.


Villa La Magnolia: This lovely detached house is situated in the hills with views of
Lucca and is only 5 mins walk from local shops and bar.
Lucca is about 6 kms away and supermarkets about 4 kms.
The well kept gardens and patio are equipped with garden furniture and long table seating up to 16 people.

Lucca: The city of Lucca is entirely surrounded by medieval fortress walls and is almost completely closed to traffic. Passing through the ancient Roman gates one is transported back in time. It is possible to meander on foot or bike through the narrow paved streets and tall buildings which seem to lean out to touch one another in the sky. There are ancient palaces, museums and churches all rich in history and culture. There are many small, elegant shops, restaurants, bars, cinemas and the famous Teatro del Giglio where Giacomo Puccini and Giuseppe Verdi operas are played to a packed house.

Province of Lucca: The countryside of Lucca offers some of the most picturesque views in Italy; the antique summer villas and estates of the Lucchese nobility with their gardens, vineyards and olive groves, the ancient farmhouses and the medieval hilltop villages are unique. Travelling north one finds the spa town of Bagni di Lucca with it's thermal swimming pool and on the other side of the Serchio river is the town of Borgo a Mozzano with it's famous Devil's Bridge. The area to the north is know as Garfagnana and the panorama gradually changes from pine hills to a more mountainous terrain.

Vi ankom meget sent aften og møder et hus uden opvarmning, ingen dyner, kun lagener og tæpper. Ved gennemgang af huset dagen efter må vi konstatere at huset på ingen måde matcher billederne. Alt er meget slidt og ødelagt, pletter på hynder og puder. Eneste positive var at værten var meget forstående og hurtigt tilbød at vi kunne få pengene tilbage hvis vi fandt noget andet. Vi havde kun en nat i huset, som vi aldrig glemmer.

La maison est spacieuse, tres fonctionnelle. C'est tres calme au milieu de la nature avec une vue superbe. La piscine est parfaite et nettoyé tous les jours !!! Villa Magnolia levede fuldt ud op til vore forventninger. Børn, forældre og bedsteforældre nød hus, have og pool i fulde drag. Alting var pænt og ordentligt og et solbeskinnet Toscana viste sig fra sin pæneste side med masser af seværdigheder.

Had a wonderful 6 night stay at this lovely, spacious house with plenty of space for our group of 11. The house has amazing gardens with beautiful views and is in a lovely quiet location. We didn't want to drive and used the bus service from the village to go to Lucca, around a 15 mins journey. The host, Fiona, is fantastic and easy to communicate with. She is very helpful and even arranged for someone to come into the villa to cook a meal for the birthday celebration which was just lovely. All in all, a great time had by all. Definitely recommend.

Wij hebben met 6 tieners en 6 volwassenen twee weken in het huis geslapen. Prachtig uitzicht, mooie tuin, heerlijk zwembad, ruime kamers en genoeg badkamers. De kwaliteit van de keuken vonden wij iets minder. De oven werkte niet goed, koelkast sloot niet goed en de vaatwasser ging kapot. Gelukkig is dit laatste snel opgelost. Communicatie met Fiona verliep snel en soepel.

La maison est spacieuse et la piscine clos. Nous étions 6 adultes et 6 enfants entre 6 et 15 ans. Les chambres sont spacieuses, un WC dans chaque salle de bain. La maison est bien équipé. La propriétaire est adorable et à l’écoute. Je recommande les yeux fermées. Petit café en bas pour les petits dej, en plus d’être délicieux, le personnel est très agréable.

Heute sind wir von unserem einwöchigen Urlaub zurück gekommen 😌 8 Erwachsene und 4 Kinder ( 10 M.,15 M, 3J,5J) Die Lage des Ferienhauses ist wirklich hervorragend! Man ist schnell in Lucca und Pisa Das Haus bietet reichlich Platz und ist mit dem sicher eingezäunten Pool sehr gut für Familien mit Kindern geeignet! Pool wurde täglich gereinigt😌Ansonsten war Fiona immer zu erreichen und die Verständigung ( auf Englisch) hervorragend! Sie hat sich kompetent aber unkompliziert und freundlich gekümmert. Das Haus ist an mancher Stelle schon etwas „in die Jahre“ gekommen. Aber die Räume werden nach und nach optimiert! 😌 Zusätzliche Eurostecker wären sinnvoll gewesen ( kann man ja mitnehmen) Waschmaschine und Spülmaschine sind top und Gold wert😌 Alles in allem hat dieses Ferienhaus ein gutes ,solides Preis/Leistungsverhältnis und ist wirklich zu empfehlen!

Lage top- ist war keine Alleinlage und die Nachbarn sind auch nicht immer leise aber trotzdem schön gelegen und Lucca/Pisa/Meer alles easy zu erreichen. Betreuung vor Ort Top, Objekt könnte aber eine Renovierung vertragen. Über eine Klimaanlage sollte man auch nachdenken.

Trotz des Hauses, welches in die Jahre gekommen ist, ist es perfekt für Familien. Ausreichend Zimmer gibt es. Geschlossenes Areal, großer Tisch und sehr schöner Pool😃👍. Ausreichend Geschirr in der Küche. Und eine sehr freundliche Vermieterin, Fiona.

Wir haben eine schöne Woche in Lucca verbracht und wurden nett von Fiona empfangen. Das Grundstück ist sehr schön und groß. Das Haus bietet sehr viel Platz, ist jedoch schon ziemlich in die Jahre gekommen. In einem Bad war leider Schimmel. Die Ausstattung war gut. Enttäuschend war allerdings der Pool, der sehr sanierungsbedüftig ist. Er war allerdings sauber, da er regelmäßig gereinigt wurde. Die Fotos in der Anzeige sind scheinbar schon recht alt, denn er sieht bei weitem nicht mehr so schön aus wie damals. Darüberhinaus auch nicht ganz ungefährlich- gerade für Kinder - wegen der wackeligen Poolumrandung und kaputten Platten rund um den Pool.

The size and location of this villa were both wonderful. We loved the views, all amenities worked well for us, and we had plenty of room to spread out for our family of 6. We all enjoyed opening the large wooden windows to let in the fresh September air and also appreciated the blinds to keep out the bright sun at times. The neighborhood was walkable and quiet, while still being close to Lucca and a large new grocery store. We enjoyed the pool, the pretty porches and grounds, and the large eat-in kitchen. The hosts were very easy to communicate with and friendly. We'd stay again, happily!

Vi var 6 børn i alderen 3-11 år og 6 voksne og der var god plads til alle. Huset er i rustik landstil . Vi levede stort set på terrassen, hvor der er den mest fantastiske udsigt til bjerge og området. Det var skønt uanset om det var om morgenen med en god kop kaffe eller om aftenen med et godt glas vin. Et kæmpe plus er også den dejlig store swimmingpool, som børnene, og også de voksne, tilbragte meget tid i, både til leg og nedkøling i det varme vejr 🤗 Sommernætterne er meget varme, og selvom der er ventilatorer kan det knibe med at få nedkølet de dejlig store soveværelser- særligt når man kommer fra nord, hvor varmegraderne aldrig bliver så høje 😉 Vores vært Fionia, er utrolig flink og hjælpsom og nem at komme i kontakt med. De mest basale indkøb af brød, smør, mælk kan man købe hus den nærliggende slagter som ligger i gå afstande og ellers er der kort kørsel til Lucca, hvor der er supermarkeder. Der ligger også et lokalt pizzaria i kort afstand fra huset med skønne tynde Italienske pizzaer 😝 som både kan spises på stedet og som takeaway. Jeg kan kun anbefale dette hus som base for en skøn familie ferie i Toscana.

Vi var som mest 15 personer och det fungerade bra. Men huset är ganska slitet när det gäller kök, köksmaskiner och övrig köksutrustning! Även stenbeläggning på altan och runt poolen är slitet och nedgånget! Poolen är stor och vattnet är mycket rent och fint. Rengjordes av ägarinnan varje dag. Sophanteringen lite besvärlig. Lugnt och härligt beläget med fin utsikt. Nära med bil in till Lucca.

Abbiamo visitato Lucca in occasione del Lucca Comics & Games. La casa è appena fuori dalla città. In una località tranquilla e silenziosa, raggiungibile in circa 10 minuti di auto. È stato tutto molto piacevole. Consigliatissima.

A lovely huge house with a beautiful garden and amazing view on the mountains. The pool is really big. We have been 11 people and had lots of stuff for the kids as well in the pool and it was real fun. The house itself is huge and lovely spacious rooms. One of the rooms got its on balcony which is great to sit on and look down to Lucca and some fireworks which have been on at that time due to festivals in town. The rooms got big wardrobes to fil in and even get your suitcases packed away. There were to fridges in the house, one in the utility room and also a Washing machine, iron board and even washing liquid for the laundry. We all had enough space to live and get our own space if we wanted. The garden is bigger than it looks on the pictures. Fiona and her dad are such lovely people and whenever we needed anything or had a question they helped out straight away. The house is located in Lucca san Lorenzo and so easy to reach so many lovely places and the supermarkets or pizza places or restaurants. We would definitely go there again and can recommend the place for sure! We had the best stay ever and didn’t want to leave. Thank you so much for everything Fiona ! Hope to see you soon again!

3 generations of the family spent a relaxing week at the villa. The accommodation was all we hoped for, with bedrooms and bathrooms clean and spacious. We managed to squeeze everyone round the kitchen table for breakfast but it was far more comfortable the day we ate at the large table outside. The water in the pool was colder than we liked ,which was understandable for early April. We enjoyed a special meal on Thursday, cooked by a chef recommended by Fiona. It was a superb evening & we really recommend this experience. The pizza restaurant in the village is great for take away or sit in. We managed visits to Lucca, Pisa, Florence, nature reserves & the beach. The villa helped make it a great week.
