"Everything was perfect, from the friendly check in by Neil to our check out by a lovely lass whose name I have sadly forgotten The breakfast was superb. The room spacious and clean. We were in room 4 and the only downside, for me, having a sensitive sense of smell was being woken in the comfy bed by the strong smell of bleach, it was even worse in the breakfast area. It did not bother my husband at all. If I stayed again, I would ask for a room higher up, or further away from the bar area and...

"Pros - warm welcome (free drink), good communications, great location, cosy room and comfy bed, fantastic breakfast Cons - in busy times parking in square might be tricky, little bit of tlc needed (broken tiles, chips on corner of walls)"

"The menu provided a great selection of locally produced ingredients. The staff were very pleasant and knowledgeable regarding the choice of drinks on offer. The room was very comfortable and we, including our dog,were made to feel very welcome."

"The Punchbowl Inn was a lovely pub to stay at, the staff were very friendly, the food was amazing. The room was lovely and had a fantastic view of the dales. If I had to be picky it would have been nice to have a shower curtain or screen over the bath as using the shower head I tended to flood the floor, but the water was lovely and hot. and I would return again."
