Awarded Top 10 Farm Stays by VRBO. 6 bedrooms, 6 bath, WIFI, strong cell service, private pool (open May 15th - September 30th), catch and release fishing (bring your poles), paddleboat, 10 acres of quiet peaceful setting less than 1 miles from town. This estate home has 15 ft ceilings and crystal chandeliers. Kitchen is well stocked with dishes, pots and pans, waffle iron, griddle, microwave, 2 dishwashers, 6 burner stove, double oven and large fridge. Lots of cabinets. There is a dining table that will seat up to 14. There is a second table that will seat 6. We have the highest rated mattresses, high grade linens, tv's in all bedrooms. Bathrooms are stocked with towels, toilet paper and more. There are 2 grills, one gas and one wood, There are grilling utensils and we have firewood onsite. There is one queen bed in each room and 1 room has a double bed too. There are 3 central heat and air conditioners. There is no garage or basement for guest use. You will have access to 2 washers and dryers. We provide dish detergent for dishwashers and we have kitchen towels and dishcloths. We are 6 miles from Squire Boone Caverns, less than 2 miles from Ohio Riverfront park and Buttermilk Falls, and other tourist attractions and hiking trails are close by. We are 45 minutes from downtown Louisville, 15 miles from Ft Knox, less than 2.5 hours from Cincinnati, Indianapolis, Evansville, Nashville, Lexington, and 4 hours from St Louis. Close to I-64 & I-65. We do occasionally come on site to check pool and landscapers are on a set schedule.

Alternate Vacation

Had our original vacation plans canceled and booked the property as a substitute. The home is beautiful, as well as the grounds. The pools was amazing and got quite the workout. The property is close to everything you would need for the stay. Very clean, very spacious and met all of our needs except 1. There was no community television and while we don't go on vacation to watch TV, we are from Indy and the Pacers were in the Finals. But with a quick run to Best Buy and large white walls, a new projecter was in order and worked perfectly. The wall above the back patio worked fine! Great Place to stay.

Great house, great experience

This house was just as advertised. It is beautiful. There is plenty of room, lots of places to sit and relax, and the long dining table is great! We gathered there regularly.Theresa is amazingly quick to answer any questions or provide information and very pleasant to communicate with. Check-in was a breeze.We found great hiking paths nearby and the catch & release lake right on the property got a visit from one person in the family every morning, long before the rest of us were awake.We got pizza one night from Jailhouse Pizza in Brandenburg. It was delicious.We would highly recommend staying here!

Birthday/Family Reunion

The property owner is rude and unprofessional. I asked for late checkout she agreed to 12:30, then called me at 11:10 saying I should have been out an hour before which would have been 10:10, but published checkout was 10:30. Additionally the property was going through renovations and by the owners own admission they were not finished and she didn’t notify us until the day before travel that bathroom grout in the shower was incomplete, the floor to the cottage was unfinished, several mirrors and shower doors were not up in the bathrooms. Because of all this she tried to push back our check in time. At checkout I called her to tell her we checked out and wanted her to come and see the property (since she was close enough to see everything going on) but she wouldn’t answer the phone. I called Vrbo to get in touch with her as we pulled off the property immediately they said she reported damages to the property (within the 5 minutes after I left). The damages she claimed were urine on the mattress, they didn’t say which room and there isn’t any proof. I guess when you are scamming, that is what you can come up with in 5 minutes after check out. I would not rent the property again. As a long time VRBO renter and short term rental prop owner I have never had such an unprofessional experience. It is an insult to be accused of leaving a property in any other way than what we found it. My family has traveled all over the world, we have always left it better than we found it.

This house was spacious, clean, everything it said it would be! We did lots of cooking over our 3 night stay & the kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, crock pot & waffle iron, toaster, a very nice large stove for cooking, you name it. We had to run the dishwasher after meals, but there are 2 & we had plenty of plates, glasses, cups & silverware for our crew of 5 families. We swam every day, the pool was awesome! A couple people went fishing for catch & release & our grandson, who is 12, was excited for all the nice sized fish he caught. It was a great location, close enough to run to a store, but out in the country enough to be private. We visited Squire Boone Caverns one day & drove to Louisville one day, but still came back to swim the rest of the day. Owner was available for any questions we had & super nice. Great stay!

Absolutely perfect!!

We were looking for somewhere to stay as an extended family to celebrate my nieces wedding. There were 16 of us in all! We found this property, enjoyed the pictures and descriptions on verbo, and booked! Best decision of the weekend! The property was beautiful and as described! The pool was amazing and two of my children swam over 10 hours during our weekend! The beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of room to spread out!! I would recommend this location to everyone who wants a relaxing getaway.. we also enjoyed the farm animals!!

Great Farm Stay

Love, love, love this place! The owners are wonderful, the farm setting is beautiful, the in-ground pool is absolutely wonderful. There’s a fishing pond where a couple of my grandchildren caught their first fish ever! There are cows grazing, sheep the kids can feed and pet, chickens, a rooster (time to wake up!!), and the house is unbelievably beautiful inside (professionally decorated). We ordered a water bounce house and that was a hit and the owner was okay with it and we had someone who wanted to bring their new pop-up tent camper and set it up and the owner was okay with that. The pool is so nice. I don’t know if it’s heated but it was just perfect …. cool enough to cool you down, but warm enough to just get in! The kids loved it. My 87 year old mother loved it! We had so much fun! There is also a cottage with a bedroom/bath that is next to the pool. I cannot recommend this place enough and I am a very picky person, especially when I have 16 family members attending each year! On the way to the fishing pond, there is an electric fence to keep the cows and Llama in, so we called the owners to unplug the electric fence and they responded immediately. They live next door, I believe. So realize there is an electric fence before you head to fish!

Enjoyable vacation

Beautiful home with plenty of room for our entire family. Having everyone be able to have their own bedroom and bathroom was great. Kids enjoyed feeding the goats and sheep daily and swimming in the pool. While the kitchen was furnished, we'd have loved to have a pair of kitchen scissors and a liquid measuring cup. Since several in our group were children, we would have liked for plastic dishware to be available. Overall a good experience and would recommend the property if you're in the area.

Moms getaway

Very nice home. Very clean! That is most important in my book. The most comfortable bed! Slept like a baby every night. Had plenty of household items. One thing I wish this home had were some rafts for the pool, that would have made the visit perfect! If you plan on staying at this home in the summer months and plan on using the pool you may want to pack a few rafts. The host was very nice and friendly. We were given a bit of history on the home which was interesting :-) Overall, very nice home and exceptionally well kept. If you are looking for a home for a quiet getaway I highly recommend this home.

Wonderful Escape

My family and I (12 of us, ranging from 4 to 74) spent a week at this wonderful location. It was great to have full bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone. The location was perfect. Out away from it all but still close enough to things to go and explore. I would recommend this location for anyone, especially those looking for a place to descend upon with larger groups and the desire to be a bit chill.

Outstanding property and host

The house and property are beautiful, everything you need is there. The host, Theresa, was very accommodating and reacted quickly when we had an A/C issue in one of the bedrooms. Our entire group of nine would stay there again without hesitation.

Family and Friend Getaway weekend. A perfect house for all ages.

This house was so clean and offered all the amenities needed for a multi-family getaway. Each family had a private bedroom and bathroom and the kitchen had a nice large table that could accommodate our whole group. The pool looks out on beautiful trees which provided excellent privacy. In addition, the host was so kind and welcoming which made us feel like honored guests in her home. We highly recommend this house if you are heading to the Louisville area.

Great accommodations for a large group

Our hostess, Teresa, was wonderful and her home is great. Lots of “common space” for eating meals together or taking in the living room and bedrooms large enough for everyone to relax. Such a beautiful location as well. Close to activities in both southern Indiana and Louisville. Will definitely stay again if in the area.

We really enjoyed our stay. The home was lovely and very spacious. We spent most of our time outdoors in the pool area and were able to enjoy a fire every evening. Theresa was a gracious host and was always available if we needed anything. Thank you.

Perfect Getaway

Theresa and David were perfect hosts! This house is amazing, as is the pool, the poolhouse, and the location which is on a farm. We fished in the fishing lake where llamas were roaming and my grandson, who is 3, caught his first fish! The kids were so excited each evening to go to the barn and get fresh eggs from the chickens and Theresa even went out and bought chicks so the kids would be excited to find a few baby chicks in the barn, along with eggs! We grilled out, the goats came to visit us daily, which was super fun, we checked in on the cows each day, and waited for the rooster to crow each morning! The kitchen was well equipped, the beds were amazingly comfortable, and each couple has their own bathroom, which is hard to find! I can’t say enough about our wonderful, fun, visit! It was a hot weekend, so most of our time was spent in the pool.

We rented the entire house for a family trip. The home was spacious, the pool was great, and we loved visiting the chicks, cows, goats, sheep, and alpacas. Would highly recommend!!

Perfect Scenario

Theresa and her family were the best. We had a large group and the property was perfect to accommodate all of us. The activities with the animals was awesome around the farm, fishing, and the lightning bugs at night were on point. She also had great recommendations of things to do around town. This included hiking, cave tors, and local spots for a fun meal. I hope we have a tournament in KY where we can come back to the farm.

Perfect Bachelorette Weekend

I stayed at Theresa's property with 16 close friends and family for a bachelorette weekend. Theresa was extremely accommodating throughout the entire process. We had such a great weekend relaxing by the pool and cooking dinners in her lovely kitchen. We even had a few surprise goat guests that stopped by! 10/10 weekend made even better by staying in this wonderful home.
