"The cabin was amazing! It was perfect for us and the kids. It was very clean and the location was great. We were close to Bennett Springs and had everything we needed to cook our catch in the evening. The pond was beautiful. We floated with Steele River Kayaks right down the road. They were amazing as well. The ONLY complaint was the WiFi was very poor. I work remotely and wasn’t able to do any work at all. We were only able to watch about 5 minutes of tv at a time before the service would...

"This is the second year we have chose to stay here. Love the convenience of the river right off the deck. Plenty of room for family to enjoy and stretch out. The house is conveniently located close to grab groceries when needed. Kitchen is well equipped for cooking. Only 25 min trip to Bennett Springs to book float trips or fish. Couldn’t ask for a better Host. "

"The home was as described and very spacious. Had to contact owner to get check in information as it was not provided. Upon arrival, realized home had not been cleaned since previous occupant. Reached out to owner and had spotty communication. Owner offered to remedy situation, but did not follow through. Overall experience and communication could have been better."

"We had peaceful getaway at the Hix Lake and Cabin. The cabin was clean and comfortable with a well-equipped, generously stocked kitchen. Its location on the private lake is serene with no other houses in sight.The real show-stopper was the outdoor areas. "Wow what an amazing stay our family had. It started off with the host having a meal ready for us to eat when we arrived. After that Brian had a golf cart to check out the farm and river with. We were able to check out all the projects that they are doing to the property. The night ended with an amazing time back at the cabin in the woods. So happy we found this place to take our family for a night away from the city."
