We check in at 8:30, front desk told us that the room we reserved was given to someone and she can give us a standard room. I told her why, cuz I fully paid the reservation online for upgrade 2 queen bed for extra fees. So she put us on suite in the 5th floor but only 1 king bed and 1 pullout sofa. I said it’s fine bec we are so tired. I asked if there’s a linen to cover the sofa in the room and she I will give it to you. First time in my life I experienced that front desk hand me a sheet, pillowcase and a blanket in front of the check in area to bring it to my room..(take note this is a 4star hotel).
Light switches are so complicated and the room is so dim. I checked the bed the sheet is so wrinkly and looks like someone lay down on it and they didn’t change the sheets! Bathroom door is a barn style door and it’s broken doesn’t slide! So irritated! We went back to the front desk and told them about the door and show the picture of the dirty bed linen. She apologized and moved us to a different room and gave us 2 free breakfast. The room is a standard room not upgraded that I paid. The embarrassing part is that 9:30 at night we are hauling our luggage plus the sheets they gave me to move to a different room and other guests was looking while we’re in the elevator. Next day we’re back to front desk and ask to refund me the extra fees for the upgraded room since we only get the standard. The buffet breakfast is $22pp and it’s awful. and you reuse your plate to get food.
