Very quite and relaxing! Shower needs some more pressure tub only trickles water out! Served it’s purpose for us I’d rent it again!! Price was right!! Owner seamed very nice!👍

Quaint and quiet

The property and room are ramshackle, but the host is very nice, and the bed is very comfortable. All of the necessary amenities were there, and so overall the value is good.

Relaxing stay

I enjoyed my stay, even though it was a work trip and I did not get to spend many daylight hours enjoying the property. Cozy property and close to Folsom lake, on quiet road.

Extremely disappointed

I've stayed in many vacation rentals & managed Bed & Breakfast Inns. Therefore I was very dismayed at condition of this property. Generally rundown aura overall starting w/entry gate's peeling paint & walkway falling apart & littered w/branches, leaf debris, old nursery plant labels and pot, & candy wrappers. Largest issue, however, is a health concern for those w/mold allergies. There's a strong pervasive moldy odor the moment you enter the studio. Mold affected my breathing so severely I became very ill & ended up taking a financial loss leaving half-way through my planned week stay. Even clean clothes had to be washed w/Borax to eliminate the odor and spores; suitcases had to be cleaned. There's no privacy curtain on full-length glass front doors, contrary to what's shown on site photo. There's hit and miss privacy on shower window; a few tied scarves. Only hand towel provided was a seemingly old, raspy feeling, dark one that did not smell fresh. Paper plates/plastic cutlery provided as are glasses, casino mugs, ground coffee. Coffee maker has a broken, missing lid on half its top. If bringing groceries note mini fridge has just over a square foot interior space, does have a tiny freezer but no cube tray. Lighting is dim throughout the unit except in shower. The current to these dim lights caused fading in and out, mainly in the evening. One morning half the power to studio failed. I called the owner asking to reset breaker to restore power, which they did immediately. They said they had an electrician coming out for another matter & would check on things that afternoon. Other issues were soiled drapes, broken shutters at front windows, random pieces of trim & baseboards missing in spots throughout, 1 missing & 1 partially ripped out curtain hanger on front door, and an old, worn throw covering sofa. Walls between attached home are very thin; you will hear conversations, coughing, sneezing, snoring, doors closing, etc; some nights noise level increased in evening til 11:30PM. Communication prior to arrival: I left a msg and booked 1 month ahead but didn't receive any word from host til 2AM the day I was to arrive after I'd sent a concerned note 10PM the night before regarding check in procedure. Place has great potential w/location and setting but the mold issue alone is severe enough to downgrade the rating. Anytime I've booked w/a large deposit places have been high grade and pristine so the poor condition of this rental really surprised me.

Great location and quaint room

Finding the house and entrance in the dark is tricky. I recommend arriving in the day light for two reasons: 1) all my three navigation systems (by Maps on iphone, Google map app, and the vehicle GPS system) told me I arrived when I was still one house away (and that neighbor was upset that we pulled into his driveway), and 2) without any outdoor lights to indicate which pathway leads to which door, we wandered a bit with our flashlights and had to call the owner to navigate to our door. Luckily, it was only 9:30 at night and I didn't feel like a complete heel for calling. Besides our confusing arrival, the stay was great. We LOVED the hiking trails a mile and a half away that circle Folsom Lake. The location was brilliant for our purposes, all the places we wanted to go and had to go were within 20 minutes.

Cozy and comfy studio off the beaten path.

This was the perfect place for my partner to meet and spend time together. Near many hiking trails at Folsom Lake and close to family and friends in Sacramento and Roseville. Clean space and I loved the huge bathroom walk in closet. We were able to organize our stuff and keep the main studio space clutter free.

Loved the quiet country location.

The room was cozy and comfortable and the country setting is a great way to enjoy the beauty of the area. Much better view from the patio than you’ll get at a hotel by the freeway! The owner answered all of my questions and was great to work with.

Wonderful stay!

Owner was very friendly with quick responses. The location was just off the main road for easy access but quiet and peaceful. We were in town for a local foot race and this location was convenient to the local recreation areas. Would definitely recommend.
