"Just loved the clean and welcoming cabin!! Enjoyed sitting outside by the little gas fire in the evening. All of the cooking utensils were excellent quality and all that we wanted was here. Hope to return next summmer. "

"The host was awesome, had to let him know there was a wasp nest and he came out right away and took care of it. The house was perfect for the four of us. Beautiful view and we saw wildlife (deers and bunnies) across the street is a boat rental place we did a kayak day!! It was a wonderful vacation "

"The rental was exactly as advertised. Everything seemed very new and clean. The kitchen was well appointed and the entire small house was amazingly efficient in design. The owners were very attentive and very friendly. The lake was only steps from the unit and there were various water toys and kayaks available. Really enjoyable stay. "

"When we pulled up to Shady Rest we thought, "okay.." But when we got inside, we were blown away, because for the price of a hotel room we had an entire house! John, the owner, greeted us and we got to know each other a little bit He was friendly and made sure we lacked nothing. John even offered us plums and/or apples from his fruit trees. I cannot say enough great things about tis property. We looked forward to having coffee on our back deck in the morning. We actually had a four-day event in...

"We really enjoyed our stay and Colin was an excellent host. He was extremely responsive, and the property was in great shape and as advertised. In addition, we really appreciated the fact that the unit was fully stocked with utensils, dish soap, and other small items that can get overlooked When traveling. He even left us a bottle of wine on the counter. The location was nice and about 50 feet from the water. Just know there is a busy marina next-door that has quite a bit of activity going on...
