I preferred walking the paths at the top of the mountain having ridden to those trail heads. This includes parking at the top and walking down to the overlook platform beautiful fuse So much cooler 10 to 15° perfect hiking weather never above 70°F and contrast with my days by the coast not humid not hot Bug spray would’ve...

"From the moment we arrived the staff greeted us with warm smiles and salutations, and throughout our stay it remained the same. Alan and his wife (the chef), Ariel, Alan’s brother and Andre and Patricia ( another chef) provided us with a rich history of the area and delicious meals. We slept like babies each night in the spacious lodging provided for us. The mountaintop views are breathtaking and taking a dip in the private waterfall was so refreshing! We totally enjoyed our stay!"
