"We had a wonderful girls weekend at the Peaceful Country Retreat with my best friend and her two daughters. The house was perfect and very spacious and lots to keep the kids entertained without having to leave the house for the weekend. We caught so many good size bass and enjoyed cooking out and enjoying the back porch and the scenery. Kelly was very responsive and helpful when needed we can't wait to come back! "

"Beautiful location on Lake Buchanan. We saw spectacular sunsets from our room, which had a back door to enjoy the lakefront. The room was very comfortable with a well stocked kitchenette - sink, full size fridge, microwave, toaster oven, regular coffee maker, Keurig coffee pod machine, stovetop burners, and even a cute s’more kit in the fridge to use with the patio grill. "We stayed here over the 4th of July weekend. The house is very well maintained and had everything we might need! The hosts are incredible and responsive if anything came up. And when they warn about the stickers on the walk to the lake, they aren’t joking! Those stickers are awful. But overall, we had a really great time. It ended up raining pretty much the whole time we were there, but we made great use of the card games that were provided! Would absolutely recommend and would stay here again!"

"Our second stay at this lake house. Nice place to get away and spend time as a family. Lake is much lower than our 2021 visit but still had a great time. Just had a little walk down to the lake. Played games, went kayaking and took a hike at a local state park. "
