"Fun little place right on the Katy Trail. Hosts were very responsive, and we enjoyed our stay. Know two things: 1) bathroom is in a separate building next door; 2) food choices, especially before the weekend, are almost non existent. But that's not the owners fault-they provided a great place to stay and we will do so again next time we are on the Katy. Thanks!"

"This property continually canceled my booking for no real reason. They said my card was not going through, but all my other bookings went through on my same card with no problem. I tried to book this house three times and every time Expedia would say I still had the booking so I would go to check in and the property management company would say that they emailed me to let me know the booking was 😡 This was a huge inconvenience and left me with no where to stay twice on my trip. I finally just...

"Talk about a get-away! May not be everyone’s cup of tea, but If you want to unwind and disconnect, this is the place for you. Just need yourself a SUV or truck to cross the creek- we had no problem off-roading our rental Chevy Blazer. The host made it very welcoming, his communication was excellent. We had a blast exploring the property and would definitely stay again. Many thanks!!"

The house is full of charm and character while still offering all the modern comforts we needed. It was clear that the owners have taken great care to preserve the home's history while keeping it clean, comfortable, and welcoming. "Check in was easy, the beds were comfortable, and there was good off street parking. It's a fine choice if there are three or fewer people in your group and you don't want to go with a hotel. Some things I wish I had realized ahead of time: There are only three comfortable places to sit in the living room, a loveseat and an armchair. If you have more than three people, the others will have to sit on a backless metal barstool or the floor. The house is cooled by two small window units neither of...

"A phenomenal stay. Great atmosphere; a truly unique experience with the artwork as well as tongue-in-cheek names for the spaces. By far our favorite spot during our week-long travels across Missouri. Great location. An amazing house - a historic home in every sense of the word; and the best value of any place we stayed.
