Cozy lakeside home with incredible sunsets

  • *** Newly remodeled*** Set in a gorgeous location on Seneca Lake's east side, this home features an open floor plan with plenty of space to move around. A large dock offers a relaxing spot to take in the view, or jump in the lake with direct, private access from the house. The home is tucked away behind one of the area's finest wineries on a private road, with a limited number of neighboring houses.

    The main living space includes the kitchen and living room with large windows facing out to the lake and a wall-mounted Samsung smart TV. The master bedroom (king size bed) also shares lakeside views. Bedroom two has a queen bed; bedroom three has a twin over queen bunk bed. Each bedroom features new, comfortable beds and mattresses along with blackout shades for a restful sleep. A pack n play is available upon request.

    The kitchen features new appliances, purified drinking water, and a dining table for six. A Nespresso VertuoPlus machine is here for your use with a sampling of pods along with a standard drip coffee maker. The kitchen is stocked with basic cooking supplies (olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, pepper, flour, sugar) along with cookware, dishes, utensils, a microwave, toaster and large pancake griddle. A propane grill is available for your use.

    The bathroom has been completely redone with a large vanity and shower. A high efficiency washer and dryer are available. The house is equipped with AC and heat. We take pride in the cleanliness of the house and follow a strict cleaning process in between guests.

    A private driveway offers parking for up to 3 vehicles, with a set of stairs that take you down to the house. Like some other homes in the Finger Lakes, there are a lot of steps to get to the house (about 50) with no direct way to unload from your vehicle. Please be prepared to carry your belongings down the stairs to the house. It’s worth the trip, we promise.

    You'll have the place to yourself with direct, private access to the lake. Kayaks and life jackets in a variety of sizes (kids to adult) are available.

    This is a quiet little group of homes along on Seneca Lake's east side, just a short drive from Geneva, Watkins Glen and Ithaca, NY.

    You'll want a vehicle to explore the nearby wineries, breweries, parks, waterfalls, and all that the Finger Lakes has to offer.

    Peace and quiet and the waters of Seneca Lake await!

Pictures are exactly as posted. Remote lake house that is very quiet and peaceful. Loved the kitchen and bath amenities that were provided. Perfect girls’ weekend getaway!

We had a wonderful stay at this lake cottage and felt that all necessary amenities were present. The home felt cozy and very clean!The sunsets were incredible. The new staircase, built from the driveway to the house was wonderful and beautifully lit at night.We absolutely recommend for children or adults, with plenty of life jackets and kayaks.We hiked the nearby Gorge Trail and if you have children Watkins Glen had a great splash pad, park, and beach area. We loved every bit of it!

Mother /daughter Getaway

The property was in a great location, newly remodeled inside and very clean. Lauren was great to communicate with and the whole rental process was easy. There are a few steps to get down to the property but was good to get a little work out in before visiting the wineries! Would definitely stay there again.

Perfect family stay

The house is beautifully redone with an impressive and stunning view, especially to wake up to. The kitchen has everything you need to cook at home. The rooms were perfect for kids and adults (thank you for the black out shades!!) We had so much fun on the kayaks and enjoying the water. The hosts were easy to reach and helpful if needed. We look forward to coming back!

Beautiful Lakeside Getaway

My family had a wonderful stay here. The home is gorgeous inside. All of the rooms are tastefully decorated. The beds are very comfortable for sleeping. The kitchen is stunning with a dedicated eat-in area. You have beautiful views of the lake across the length of the home (living room and master bedroom). It has a washer, dryer and dishwasher, which is a nice bonus. The dock is very nice and has plenty of space for eating, relaxing and jumping into the lake. We enjoyed the kayaks there and the fire pit. It was the best summer house we have ever stayed at and can’t wait to go there again.

Newly refinished inside

The cabin has been newly remodeled with modern appliances and comfortable furniture. Many windows facing the lake bring in lots of light and great views. We enjoyed sitting on the Adirondack chairs on the dock watching the beautiful sunsets, playing in the lake, visiting local wineries, Watkins Glen State Park, and the Finger Lakes National Forest trails. The 48 stairs from the parking area to the cabin are currently rather steep and narrow, but the owner is planning to replace them. Overall, we enjoyed our stay in this charming cabin.

Amazing sunsets and a beautiful home

The hosts are very nice and we had a very good week at the lake. The house has been beautifully remodeled and has many amenities, very well equipped kitchen and many supplies like dish soap, hand soap, garbage bags, etc. were supplied. The dock is amazing and where we spent lots of time (love the Adirondack chairs) but it's also nice that you can sit in the living room and look right out at the lake. We did have some issues with water/plumbing during our stay but owner was very responsive and sent repair folks right away -- even on a Saturday night! There are a LOT of steps to get down to the property from where you park your car and they are quite narrow and steep. The owner has plans to build new steps which will be great. But renters need to be prepared to carry their stuff down so pack light. We had two elderly family members for whom the stairs were challenging but the owner was very helpful and offered to help us on the day we were moving out. Overall we had a great week -- enjoyed swimming, kayaking and just lounging around.
