"I booked 2 rooms, both of which were excellent, very clean and beautifully furnished, recently fitted bathrooms with excellent facilities. The staff were wonderfully friendly and welcoming, they made us feel very comfortable in the beautiful location. We really enjoyed our pre dinner drinks by the open fire in the guests lounge and learning about the history as we explored the building. Delicious food, we met the chef who checked our exact needs. We could not find any faults at all with our stay...

"I can’t fault the Sure Hotel in Lockerbie. A beautiful building, fantastic en suite room, very clean and modern. Or host, the manager Glen couldn’t have been more helpful. Plenty of free secure parking and we ended up taking a lovely stroll into Lockerbie for dinner. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the hotel, great staff who are so helpful. We’ll definitely be going again. "

"This hotel provides a basic room. We did not get food here. (Breakfast cost extra) The room had a very strong mothball smell so we opened the window and left a floor fan running all night. Bedside areas need outlets to plug in phones so these rooms need updating. The sink did not have hot water. For the price this room was not worth it."

"Very pleasant inn keeper. He was helpful and friendly. The breakfast choices were perfect whether you wanted a meal breakfast or something light. Rooms were clean. I worried about the stairs as I have difficulty climbing some stairs and these were not taxing on my knees, Appreciate the stay at The Old Rectory."
