Carina Villas is a lovely, secluded spot on a hilltop overlooking green fields with the ocean in the distance. We stayed in Feb, when we were unable to use the pool, but I'm certain that in the summertime it would be a marvelous place to spend an afternoon. Unit 6 definitely had the best view of the 6 units; units 1 and 2 would not share the same views because of a building across the road which would obstruct those views to some extent.
This is definitely a brilliant place to stay if you appreciate having your own space to spread out, relax and enjoy the views. For us, no hotel room could beat the peace and quiet of this location. It is a modern building, that has been well appointed throughout. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need for your stay, including a dishwasher, which is great when you're away on vacation and don't want to spend extra time doing dishes. Laundry facilities are also on site which is a bonus.
The Villas are located about 4 km from Lourinha, which is a lovely town that has everything you need to enjoy your stay in the area. The three major grocery stores are all within the 4 km drive, as well as restaurants and other shops, and let's not forget the dinosaur museum, Dinopark and Dinocarts (go cart track). Peniche is also very close as are many beaches.
The property managers Adriana and Vicente were fantastic, and very responsive to addressing problems within the unit that we experienced due to the damage the storms had caused.
