Great place to stay in Lihue

Banyan Harbor is a great central location on the island. This condo was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. You can get beach chairs and boogie boards from the office. We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend!

Banyan harbor condo

We had a wonderful time in Kauai!!! Our condo was decorated in such cute Island style!!! Every decoration was so thoughtful! Beds were great!!! This was in a central location on the island which allowed us to travel to the north shore and to the canyon easily. We did different activities each day. Easy walk to food and shopping. Close drive to local Walmart. We made breakfast in condo most days. Enjoyed the washer and drier as we played hard and came home dirty each day. Beds were upstairs and comfortable. One of the bedrooms and the bath only have folding doors. They worked well for us and gave enough privacy. We were also blessed with a week of sunshine. All and all a wonderful time.

Beautiful and comfortable

Loved staying here. The condo was very comfortable, immaculate, such great attention to interior with Hawaiian decor, specific directions for what to do when leaving. Built in washer and dryer, which was very helpful. One of the best vacation rentals I’ve stayed in. Walking distance to beach, restaurants, and shopping. A+ would stay again.

Very Clean and Great Location

We had a fabulous stay here. It is the perfect size for 2 adults or 2 couples. It has a cute kitchen and family room decorated in beach style. The natural breeze is very nice but if you need more there is a great air conditioning unit. Also a huge plus was using the owner's truck! We were able to see all of the island with it. It is close to stores, beaches, restaurants and the Lihue airport. The beds are comfortable and there is a laundry unit that was great. Our favorite part was how clean it was. I will definitely be staying here again!

Cute and Great Location, but not for us

This property ultimately did not work for our purposes, but it was very well located and would be nice for most - a couple of overlooked details in the listing did not clearly illustrate that the bedrooms and main bath were up a fairly steep flight of stairs, which did not work well for our needs. The property was clean and well appointed, would be fine for most.

Wonderful place for amazing Kauai!

Great location, very nice condo, owners easy to work with. We spent 8 nights here and loved it. The only down side is the traffic in Kapa'a - which has nothing to do with the condo, but is a pain for your excursions to the north side, which we did a couple of times. Beds were comfy, condo very clean, pool was nice with a nice view of the Kalapaki Bay. We did one major activity daily, and then just chilled either in the condo, by the pool, or walked over to the bay. We did a helicopter tour (highly recommend it), scuba diving, snorkeling, hiking, kayaking the river and hike to Secret Falls, explored around Poipu a couple of times, drove the Grand Canyon and hiked around. It was awesome, I would absolutely go back!

Sehr schön mit Einschränkungen

Die Wohnung selbst ist sehr schön und ordentlich. Zweites Schlafzimmer sehr klein und wenig Ablagemöglichkeiten. Zudem nervt hier die Laute Klimaanlage der Nachbarwohnung. Was gar nicht geht. Wir haben den Preis inkl. Internet bezahlt aber der Router ging trotz mehrerer Resets nicht. Es gab also kein Internet. Da dort das Mobilfunknetz sehr schlecht ist, hatten wir so gut wie keinen Zugang zum Internet und hatten etliche Kommunikationsschwierigkeiten mit diversen Anbietern von Touren, die wir gebucht hatten. Wir hatten das Problem zwar dem Ansprechpartner vor Ort gemeldet aber das wurde ignoriert. Fazit schöne Woche Wohnung aber sehr schlechter Service. Kann diese Wohnung nicht weiter empfehlen.

My wife and I had a fantastic stay, The kitchen was well stocked for our cooking needs, the beds comfortable.The location was great as we did activities around the island. Plus it was close to Costco!

Perfect!

Condo was definitely pristine had everything needed. Location was great walking distance to beach, fishing, dining and some shopping. Great starting point for exploring the island with car. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely plan a return trip. Angie the guest contact responded quickly to all our questions and was very helpful.

Nice place

We had a great stay at this property. Had everything we needed. Only small issue was that the bedroom at top of the stairs did not have a working ceiling light. 3 A/C units made it a comfortable stay. Location was good. At check-in we had to prove that we were registered with the state of Hawaii. That caused some issues as there was no wi-fi in the lobby and 4G outside the building was not working very good. Making screenshots of the website before arriving will save time and frustrations. Renting the owner's pickup truck saved us a lot of money on car rental.

The vacation of a lifetime

The front desk was over accommodating, the concierge service was excellent. No question was too small no request was too large. Every suggestion was a homerun, every hike Trail, snorkeling spot or a romantic dinner with my wife was unbelievable.

“Sweet home away from home”

We had stayed in one of the condos at Banyon Harbor in the past but this was our first experience thru VRBO. Was not sure what to expect but the stay was absolutely wonderful and the owners always responded in a timely manner when questions were needing to be answered. Although they were new to this as well, we were very pleased. The AC worked very well downstairs and in the bedroom with the AC in it upstairs . We just could not get the 2nd bedroom upstairs to get cool enough for total comfort even with the ceiling fan going, but it was tolerable. Beautifully remodeled condo with all the kitchen items one needs to make a meal and serve it😉 I loved the little instructions that were left by the owners to help with some of the instructions regarding the fans, AC, and W/D functions. Very modern remodel with a very homey/ personal touch of course👍🏼 Loved the shower with the liquid body soap, shampoo and conditioner ready to use! Would definitely stay there again! Thank you so much for sharing your home!!

Great Central Location

Spacious "Hawaiian" themed condo, near Lihue airport, and centrally located to drive to other areas of the island. This is a 2-story condo, which is not mentioned in the description and needs to be as my husband has bad knees and it was extremely painful and difficult to navigate the steep stair case in the unit. Nearly impossible to haul a large suitcase up stairs. We would have never selected a multi-level unit if we had known about this. The entire property is on the side of a hill and quite steep so really isn't suitable for anyone with mobility issues. Also, the description of the "view" is not entirely accurate. While you can see the tip of the bay way across the Matson container yard, the view was from the upstairs master window. The only view from the lanai was the adjoining buildings and parking lot. The two a/c units are wonderful and quickly cool down the living room area and master bedroom, however, the second bedroom has just a ceiling fan and in the summer remains a bit warm. The shared upstairs bathroom had the door removed to allow space for a washer/dryer and the curtain hanging across the opening doesn't really provide adequate privacy in the bathroom.

Central well appointed lihue condominium

What can I say, the condominium was the perfect place for our stay. The property is centrally located on Kauai and is about a 1 hour drive to furthest sides of the island (north and south). The condominium is in excellent condition, tile floors, granite counters, new appliances, air conditioning downstairs and in large bedroom upstairs. You can open the windows to let in cool breezes. It was nice having a washer and dryer in the condo. We typically cooked breakfast at the condo, never got a chance to use the BBQ grills which were located right outside of the unit. Great place for couples. Harbor mall is right down the street, recommend Pietros for pizza and mariachi's for $2 fish tacos on Tuesday nights. Will definitely stay here again.
