Stayed here last year and really enjoyed the location—easy access to everything, peaceful, and cozy. This year, though, there were a few unexpected issues that took away from the experience.When we picked up the keys on Saturday, we were informed that mouse droppings had been found in the kitchen, but no one could address it until Monday. There was a trap set in the cupboard, but it wasn't checked again during our stay. The bathroom sink was also clogged, but someone did come by quickly to repair it.Both the mouse issue and the bird situation were problematic. On Friday, a bird was flapping around in the chimney, and when the bird specialist came to check, the chimney was empty at that point. However, he didn’t look anywhere else in the house. That night, a bird flew directly at me in my bedroom! No one was available to help, so we opened a window, and it flew out—but despite the window being closed immediately after, it was back again the next morning.While the location is still fantastic, these maintenance and pest issues really detracted from what could have been a relaxing week.
