Adorable and conveniently located studio apartment in the heart of Lewes, perfect for couples and biking aficionados. Located in a quaint dog-friendly neighborhood, this studio is steps away from the bike path through Cape Henlopen and walking distance to cafes, shopping, and breweries. Wake up and have your morning coffee on the patio then venture out to the beach—both the bay and ocean are less than 2 miles away—then take advantage of the large outdoor shower. The guest cottage is light and bright and features a Queen Murphy bed, large closet, and washer & dryer in garage, and is outfitted with thoughtful touches to make you feel at home. Take advantage of live concerts in the nearby park every Tuesday evening in the summer and the Lewes Farmers market which is directly across the street in the off-season.

Dog Friendly with non-refundable fee and signed addendum (1 dog allowed unless previous approval from owner) Ask your agent for details.

3 night minimum stays anytime.

All guests must supply their own sheets, towels and beach towels or OPT in for our linen rental package.

Guests must choose to purchase a $70 Vacation Rental Damage Insurance policy covering $3,000.00 in accidental damage, or pay a refundable security deposit of $2,000.00. Policies of a lesser amount are not acceptable. This amount will not be reflected in the quote amount on VRBO.

The property must be occupied by the Guest signing the Lodging Agreement, and all occupants of the Property shall be supervised by the Guest for the entire rental period. The Guest signing the Lodging Agreement must be at least 25 years of age and must occupy the Property for the entire rental period. If the party is made up of unrelated individuals (a group rental), ALL guests occupying the property must be at least 25 years of age.

We accept Mastercard, Visa, American Express and Discover Credit Cards and eChecks for your initial deposit. We also accept personal checks for final payments. Final payments are due 30 days prior to your check-in date. NOTE: Any payments within 30 days of arrival require to be in certified funds or by credit card. You will be provided a link to a Guest Portal where you can securely make your payments online.

VRBO BOOKINGS: This property is hosted by the management company noted as Owner on VRBO. After booking the property you will be charged a booking fee by VRBO. ALL other fees and the rental amount will be charged by the management company and paid to the management company. Once you have booked you will be contacted by the management company and sent a Lodging Agreement that must be signed. Apart from Damage Protection, all fees associated with the booking are displayed in the VRBO booking.

Lewes Done Right

This is our second stay! We recently stayed at this beautiful beach rental with an outside shower and I have to say, it was absolutely incredible. From the moment we arrived, we feel like we are at home. The outside shower was a game-changer for us. After a long day at the beach, it was so refreshing to rinse off under the warm water and feel the sun on our skin. It added an extra touch of luxury to our vacation and made us feel like we were truly living the beach life. The rental itself was spacious, clean, and well-appointed with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the necessary appliances and utensils, and the murphy bed makes it so cozy and inviting. We especially loved the outdoor seating area where we could enjoy meals al fresco and enjoy the peace amd quiet. The location of the rental was perfect - just a few blocks on our bicycles to the shops, restaurants, and attractions. We loved being able to easily access everything we needed without having to drive. We love Lewes!!!

Cute apartment in back of owner's home

The efficiency apartment is on top of a carafe in the rear of the main house. There is not a lot of outdoor privacy or parking as this is shared with owners. However, the apartment was clean, cute & comfortable - the Murphy bed did surprise me as comfortable. The town of Lewes is approximately a 15min walk & the beach is a short drive.

Lewes Labor Day Weekend

We arrived after hours at the rental agency, sadly our keys and rental packet were not available. We called and received an immediate response. Our over the garage apartment looked exactly like the pictures, we made the bed and went to grab a late night bite. The location was perfect! We rode our bikes to the beach, the trails and Rehoboth. The access to the garage for bike storage and the washer and dryer was so convenient. We will be back!

Booking coordination headache

First of all the property is amazing everything was five stars there. The reason for the not so good review is the challenging communication that was an anticipated on my part when booking. This booking is managed by Berkshire Hathaway and the process for payment, check in, check out, and amenities like linens etc. was a headache. Just be advised that if you book through Vrbo you won’t be coordinating everything through VRBO it will all be done by a third-party through email, including payments.

Overpriced

Decent location, small studio right under the garage roof, which means the a/c has to run all the time and it's loud, as well as the fridge, which is right near the bed, making it impossible to sleep without earplugs. Pet fur was everywhere and it smelled.

Elegant little apartment in a quiet area near EVERYTHING!

Walking distance to the market, downtown, concerts, restaurants. Amenities were perfect, clean , and all just as represented. Met the owners who were lovely and gracious. Our dogs even seemed mostly relaxed and comfortable.

Perfect getaway

This is a cute and comfortable cottage for a short getaway within walking distance to Lewes. I was worried about sleeping on a Murphy bed but it was very comfortable. I’d rent again.

Pet Friendly Beach Cottage

Great little rental property! It was great for us as it was pet friendly and we brought our pup along for his first beach trip. Other than some dust accumulation the property was clean and well managed, they had everything you needed on site - washer, dryer, kitchenette. It is in walking distance of downtown Lewes - shopping and restaurants. We had a great time.

Stairs in bad need of repair

I honestly cannot believe the property owners are not required to replace the outside stairs and handrail leading up to the property. They are decrepit and pose major hazard. Also rental is above garage and the garage stinks of gasoline and mold. I stored my bike in there and literally almost passed out from the smell. The property owner had the automatic garage door open several times to take out his garbage and it’s annoyingly loud. The window air conditioning unit is old and extremely loud and annoying. The Murphy bed feels like sleeping on concrete. Seriously? I’d like a partial refund.

Wonderful retreat!

This beach cottage is a true gem! The space is beautifully decorated and very functional with lots of natural light. My only two complaints are the water pressure was a little low in the shower and the Murphy bed wasn’t quite as comfortable in my opinion as other reviews have stated. Still, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The property owners were very nice and we appreciated being able to store our rental bikes in the downstairs garage. The location is close to everything. We were able to walk to nearby restaurants and a local grocery store. We also loved riding our bikes on the local trails, to the beach, and through Cape Henlopen State Park. Ashley (one of the owners) did a fabulous job putting together a vacation guide for guests that we relied on heavily for tips on the best local eateries, shops and places to go in town. The kitchenette is stocked with a Brita filter, toaster oven, Keurig coffee maker, sugar and creamer, hot plate, pots/pans and many utensils for meal prep. We mainly ate out but enjoyed having coffee and breakfast we prepared for ourselves on some mornings. This place is a fabulous retreat and I can’t wait to return for another stay!

Cozy!

Very cozy cottage above a garage. Wonderful location. We will definitely come back. Only caveat is there are a good set of steps to the unit and you are in very close proximity to owners. It was a wonderful stay!

Wonderful location… wonderful owners

The location of this property can’t be beat and the owners are so kind and so helpful. The apt is adorable and very comfortable. It’s super easy to get anywhere you want to be. I was in town for my nieces wedding for 4 days and have a special little dog with health issues that travels with me. Getting back and forth to the venues etc to let him out between family gatherings couldn’t have been easier and knowing he was in a safe quiet location was priceless peace of mind! I couldn’t have attended if I couldn't have had him with me due to his medication schedules etc and they have one of the few properties that are truly dog friendly! I highly recommend this lovely spot!

What a Gem!

This property is a great find and what a gem! Absolutely cute as a button, and has everything you need for your stay. The location is excellent! Upon arrival, the owner greeted us by leaving her favorite cold beer in the refrigerator from the local Big Oyster Brewery. The brewery is fantastic and has great food. This property was very convenient if you are traveling with your dog(s) and the neighborhood is very friendly with great areas for your dog. I HIGHLY recommend this gem, and will be back.

Perfect for our needs

My fiancée, dog and I had a great time at this property. Very clean and up to date. The neighborhood is cute and quiet. The owners (and dog!) were very friendly. We had no concerns about privacy. While there's no oven or dishwasher, the kitchen had everything we need to make breakfast/lunch and enjoy delicious dinners from nearby restaurants. One suggestion might be an updated list of items in the property - we were pleasantly surprised there was a toaster oven. We didn't need much - just a nice, dog friendly place to spend the evenings - and were very pleased with this spot.
