"Beautiful hotel. The large room with a kitchen was perfect for our family to stay a couple days. Wish the pool was bigger but we were so glad it was indoors as we had rain the whole time we stayed there. My husband and I loved the happy hour they had with free drinks and food. And the complimentary breakfast was great too. Staff was very friendly."

"Great spot if you need a comfortable bed to sleep in that is close to the Rock Hill Sports Center. The location is darling. Coffee on the front porch was gorgeous. It is old, so obviously it is not perfect. Recommend bringing a 3 prong converter if you plan to work from the home. Had to steal the one on the microwave. "

"We have stayed in Sara’s Shacks before so we weren’t concerned. Unfortunately we should have been concerned. We arrived after dark. Once I got into the house to turn the outside lights on, we found that the front porch light was burnt out and the back porch lighting was very poor. "We really enjoyed our stay at the Restful Retreat! We loved how they had everything labeled so you don’t have to go looking for things. The bed was really comfortable, my husband said it was his best nights sleep he’s had in a year! Kim sent us messages checking in on us to see if there’s anything we needed. It was convenient to Winthrop University and within walking distance to a nice Veterens Garden. It’s also close to restaurants, grocery store. We would stay here again!"

"The breakfast buffet was adequate but poorly set up and planned. The pool area was very tight and had many local workers who came to stay there and use the pool with families. No seating really and very small towels and old which did not match the updates and nice room we stayed in. Great area to go for a walk around the Cawtawba River and for some shopping and great for access to Charlotte also. "

"We had a very nice room. Other than leftover used towel hanging on the bathroom hook, the room was clean and well furnished. Breakfast was enough but lacking plates to put hot foods on only bowls and 5 inch paper plates. Coffee was good but orange juice bitter. "
