Outside, relax in the deck chairs and contemplate the surrounding nature. The property includes a vegetable garden and a greenhouse that provide fresh vegetables. Observe the deer, birds, and salamanders that inhabit this forest, which is bountiful with chestnuts and mushrooms depending on the season. From your refuge, explore the Haut-Languedoc Regional Natural Park, visit the majestic Cité de Carcassonne, or discover the vineyards of Minervois. The village of Montolieu, known as the book village, and the pink marble quarries of Caunes-Minervois await you for enriching cultural excursions. The cabin is completely self-sufficient in water (springs and stream) and electricity (solar), which will make you more aware of your consumption. It is also equipped with dry toilets (composting) and a constructed wetland wastewater treatment system. Without a TV, the place invites you to take a walk in the forest, to enjoy cooking with the scents (thyme, rosemary, fresh mint, basil, chives...) and vegetables from the garden, to contemplate the sunset, the moonlight, or to observe the stars.
