"Schönes, sauberes Zimmer mit kleiner Küche. Sehr freundliche Personal. Frühstück ausreichend. Großer Parkplatz. Großer Pool mit vielen Liegen. Das Hotel liegt in einer ruhigen Straße und man ist in wenigen Minuten zu Fuß im Ort mit Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Es gibt eine kleine Sauna für zwei Personen und ein Dampfbad. Das Dampfbad haben wir allerdings sofort wieder verlassen, da es sehr unangenehm gerochen hat. "

"Attention to little things such as placing a variety of chocolates/nougat/calissons each night on the bed and a bottle of wine to welcome guests. Food was excellent. Cocktails were lovely. Having indoor and outdoor pool was a bonus. The nearby town of Forcalquier was well worth visiting"

"Il s'agissait d'un séjour pour découvrir cette belle région de Provence. Nous sommes restés 2 semaines. L'appartement était bien spacieux, propre, cependant, le mobilier un peu dépassé et il n'y avait pas de clim dans les chambres et pourtant, les nuits étaient très chaudes, c'est dommage, ça serait peut-être judicieux de remettre la déco et le mobilier au gout du jour et la clim pour que les nuits soient plus confortable. La piscine extérieur aussi est petite, impossible de faire des longueurs,...

"The city of Manosque isn't really worth a visit - I chose it thinking it was central to the lavender fields and close to the L'Occitane factory (I call it the Poughkeepsie of Provence...). I thought it would be a good idea to have a cheap hotel in the pedestrian section of town but what I hadn't taken into consideration is that the high cost of parking our rental car made this "budget" hotel more expensive than the Ibis on the outskirts of town. If I had it to do over I wouldn't stay at this...

"We had a wonderful stay at La Bastide. Julian is an excellent host - very welcoming and interesting to chat to, speaking excellent English. The property is very charming, extremely peaceful and relaxing, and feels authentically Provençal. The breakfast was delicious, served in the atmospheric kitchen. Julian has done a brilliant job renovating this beautiful farmhouse. Highly recommended!"
