"absolutely amazing stay! our host was wonderful fast responses and great to work with, the place has a washer, dryer, lovely vintage but modern kitchen, and just such a cozy feel. comfy couches, big tv, and two very nice bedrooms! we were able to use the campfire as well to make s’mores which is always fun. me and my partner are already talking about booking this place out again sometime next year :) it’s definitely going to be our go to spot. the neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful as well!...

"The Barn was a great stay! The pics don’t do it justice, it’s so beautiful in person. The location is great. You’re able to get to Blowing Rock and Boone easily. The rooms are huge. It’s almost like 2 houses in one with plenty of room upstairs and downstairs for friends or family. The views of the mountains out back are stunning. Lisa was so easy to communicate with. "I can't say enough about this house and property. Only 20 minutes from downtown Hickory it truly felt like we were "out of town".....our Charleston friends loved it! So much so, that one said they would love to live there (as a Hickory resident, me too!!) Just around the corner is the sandbar marina where you can gas up your lake vessels, grab food, drinks and if wine is your thing, a pretty good selection for sale there. "My sister and I were in Hickory for a week to visit my son and his family. This place was perfect for us. It was clean, comfortable and so quiet. The host was accommodating and friendly. I will definitely stay here again."

"From the pictures I thought this place would be spartan, but the space was very comfortable and cozy. The beds were more comfortable than they appear. It was nice for everyone to have their own space. I was afraid of bugs because I read about them from a past review, but the place was clean and completely bug-free. There was a lot of common space for eating together and playing group games.The location was beautiful!"

"Wonderful home with great amenities. We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful, spacious, home. The pool table was enjoyed by all ages and the hot tub was relaxing and a benefit to tired travelers and sore muscles. Beds were comfortable, lots of extra soft, warm blankets and the kitchen was a welcoming gathering space for meals as well as socializing around the island. Owners were welcoming, responsive and a pleasure to work with. "
