Casa di vino is a unique country house on the estate of the winery Lefkaditiki Gi in the center of Lefkada, between Nidri and Vasiliki. Located on a hilltop this holiday home offers panoramic views and is surrounded by the pristine beauty of Lefkada’s rural landscape with pastures, olive groves and vineyards. The house couples the beauty of a traditional stone farmhouse with the best of modern design in the interior space to create a unique blend of old and new. Casa di vino covers 185 square meters and can accommodate 6 +2 people. It has 3 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, a large living room and dining room, library, kitchen and outdoor dining area.
The surrounding area includes an 8-person Jacuzzi(NOT with hot water), a large corner overflow pool and a wonderful garden with olives and herbs.
Casa di vino is located on a hillside offering panoramic views of Lefkada’s lush rural landscape and the Ionian Sea.
To the north the rich vegetation of native plants, shrubs and trees. Wild carobs, lentisks, holm oaks and arbutuses blend with the cultivated land with olive trees in a vast painting in all shades of green.
To the east of the house lie low hills covered with more cultivated fields and olive trees, while this symphony of green stretches to the deep blue waters of the Ionian Sea. The view to the south is unique, small green islands come into view on the horizon of the Ionian sea extending and defining the view of the endless sea.
To the east of the house is the village of Poros with interesting traditional houses and to the south the traditional village of Sivota.
The tranquility of the landscape is so calming to the eyes and the mind that it mesmerizes your soul.
LOCATION
The location of the house is perfect and motivates you to explore the island.
You are between the two most popular villages of the island, Nidri and Vasiliki. Nidri is only 10 km and Vasiliki 9 km. So in less than 10 minutes you can find many restaurants, cafes, wine bars, night clubs, wind surfing and other water sports, daily cruises, renting boats, a bank, shops, pharmacies, a health center and generally all amenities that will make your stay an unforgettable experience.
Even closer at 4km you may find the famous picturesque fishing village of Sivota with its many good fish restaurants, as well as necessities (bakery and supermarket).
The nearest beach is Mikros Gialos at 4.5 km (10 min), Amouso 8 km (15 min), Ponti, which is perfect for windsurfing at 9.5 km (15 min) and the beaches of Egremni and Porto Katsiki at 22 and 26 km respectively.
THE VILLA
It is a modern stone house in the estate of the winery Lefkaditiki Gi, built in 2015 to complement the building complex of the winery and its services provided.
Its architecture follows Lefkada’s traditional patterns and modern housing design. As far as the structure is concerned, local stone was used to fill walls, wooden beams of chestnut and oak floors make the house friendly to tenants, while large openings allow the landscape to enter inside from every point.
Surrounding area- Garden –Swimming pool
The surrounding area includes 5 acres of the winery’s privately owned lands. Surrounded by hundreds of acres of farmland, grazing lands and olive groves. Centuries-old olive trees have been utilized and a new vineyard has been planted in order to restore the agricultural physiognomy of the landscape.
From the winery a gravelled road lined with carobs, wild pear trees, lentisks arbutuses and oak trees leads to the house.
In the herb courtyard, the outdoor Jacuzzi overflows into a waterfall and meets the swimming pool in a double overflow in a musical harmony of waters. Their location makes it possible to fully enjoy views of the surrounding area.
The swimming pool’s dimensions are 4m X 10m and there is a shallow part 2m X 3m for children and non-swimmers.
The 8-person Jacuzzi offers comfort and enjoyable views of the tranquil landscape of low hills and the blue Ionian sea.
The swimming pool and Jacuzzi are surrounded by comfortable wooden deck chairs for tanning, reading or daydreaming.
Living room, dining room & kitchen
The main entrance to the house opens onto a wooden staircase leading to the first floor, and a spacious and comfortable living room overlooking the swimming pool, the green hills and the sea. It is furnished with two large sofas and a comfortable armchair opposite a 42″ screen with satellite TV and DVD player.
Apart from the living room, the same space includes a modern gourmet kitchen with all appliances, sink, cooker, oven, fridge-freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. The kitchen offers generous seating for seven people.
A row of doors leads to a large courtyard for outdoor eating. All doors have east and south opening that allow light to enter during the day. The wooden table in the courtyard can accommodate eight people and is a great place for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The courtyard has a comfortable sitting area too, an ideal place to read a book or sip a glass of wine.
Bedrooms & Bathrooms
All rooms are equipped with air conditioning and fitted wardrobes with ample storage space.
The first floor has two bedrooms, one in the south with a king size bed and a large bathroom with shower accessible also for wheelchairs. And one in the north with queen size bed that can become two twin beds, a large bathroom and attic with daybed. The ground floor rooms overlook the courtyard, the hills, the gullies and the sea in the east, The ground floor bedrooms are especially convenient for those having a hard time climbing stairs.
A staircase leads to the floor and there is a bedroom with king size bed, sitting area and luxurious bathroom with spacious shower. It has a private outdoor terrace with exceptional views of the Ionian Sea and the surrounding hills.

The first floor includes a large living room, modern kitchen, shared bathroom, and two bedrooms with private bathrooms (en suite) with shower.
The second floor has one bedroom with full bathroom. All rooms offer wonderful views of the surrounding countryside, while all windows have bug screens.
The floor has an attic within sight of the ground floor’s sitting room and a library with a gratifying collection of books that will capture your hearts and make you discover the traditional morphology and culture of Lefkada’s island and people.
Price and Availability
The Casa Di Vino can be booked on a weekly basis. Special discounts for 4 persons or less, on April – June, for 2 or more weeks, we offer discount as well. The price includes all fees, water and electricity consumption, wifi internet, sheets & towels, detergents, house and swimming pool cleaning twice a week.

Kindly be advised that the owner of the villa has done all necessary proactive disinfestation, always in line to the environmental laws for the protection of the natural life. However the property is located within the beautiful natural surroundings and contact with insects or small animals (eg stray cats, mice, reptiles, flies, mosquitos, ants etc) cannot always be prevented.
