Hotel 1*, Leisure Club 5* - only because the leisure club was not available on arrival day, it cannot be considered in this review.
Due to a pre-planned power cut all Sunday, check-in was only possible from 6pm, with no leisure club nor bar/restaurant available all evening. Having to go to work early on Mon morning, there was only very limited time to enjoy the pool then; however, I had purchased a club room supplement exactly because of the leisure facilities, yet no apologies other than an email and a piece of paper to advise of the hotel's all-day closure were offered, not even the club room supplement was refunded.
In fact, this date should have NEVER been available to book on Expedia, and if it wasn't for the convenient location in proximity to the White Rose business park, I would have cancelled my booking altogether.
We have now decided not to return to this hotel, due to its level of standards having dropped considerably over the last few years, which is really a shame, but we will stay somewhere else rather, even if it is slightly further away from the office and does not offer the same leisure facilities.
