On arrival the receptionist told me that my card had been declined, and asked me for another card to pay. I felt sure that I had paid at the time of booking but, I’d just walked from the station in the rain, and was a bit hassled, so I paid and went up to my room. Then I checked my Expedia app, which showed that I had indeed paid at the time of booking, I also checked my card statement, which too confirmed that I had paid. So I called down to reception and told them, the lady said it must have been a mistake, and said it will be refunded. Is this a scam they’re pulling?
Also, breakfast was dreadful. The “hot” options were cold and poor quality. The only hot options were bacon, sausage, hash brown and scrambled egg. No other egg choices, no beans, no tomatoes, no mushrooms…
