"Had a nice room with a comfortable bed and a bathroom with some space, which was not our experience elsewhere in France. The downtown area with shops and restaurants was just a short walk from the hotel. In the evening, after dinner in town, my wife and I would sit at a table outside our room, relax and enjoy the cooler temperature. The hotel had a self-serve breakfast buffet that had plenty of cold cuts, fruit, granola, crepes and croissants, but very few hot items. We would warmly recommend...

"Nice property. This old building is a reasonable walking distance to the downtown and the burger place right beside it is 10/10! The four person room was great as the two twin beds are upstairs in a loft area. The kids got their own space to spread out. The beds are hard, but clean. Bathroom was a good size and as expected. Obviously, no AC but they provided fans on each level."

"A éviter ou même fuir la chambre n° 11, celle qui est mansardée, c'est une honte pour cet hôtel, chambre très sombre sous les combles sans climatisation avec des poutres partout dans la chambre et une salle de bain horrible, indigne de cet hôtel. Le personnel est dans l'ensemble sympa sauf une jeune fille brune qui sans fout royalement de vos conditions d'hébergement. Par contre une femme aux cheveux blonds est super sympa et elle a réussi à nous changer de chambre."

"Located within walking distance from the heart of Bayeux and about a 10 minute walk or few minute drive to the train station - super convenient! The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Everyone we interacted with spoke English well and tolerated my broken elementary-level French. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was amazing (kids loved it too) and probably contributed to less room in my waistline."

"This was a very unique experience for us and we enjoyed our stay! We stayed in the family room and paid for breakfast, which was delivered to the room by 8o’clock. It was comprised of breads, yogurt, fruit, juice, milk, and coffee. Great location to visit Omaha Beach, museums, and the American memorial."

"The proprietor was was very friendly and the place was amazing with all of the WWII artifacts and material. The place is from around 1850 and filled with charm. This is an immersive experience into the Normandy coast, not a cookie cutter chain hotel. Highly recommend!"

Good to know: no elevator access to upper levels; stairs only. Not a big deal imho. Nice area! Great location; close to WWII historic sites. About a 15 minute drive to the American Military Cemetery, and about a 1.5 hour drive to Mont Saint Michel to the southwest and Le Havre area to the north east. I would stay here...
