Les Piràmides

The food was terrible at the buffet. Same food every meal every day. We went to the steak house and Japanese restaurant both were great! The resort had a coffee shop, ice cream shop , pizzeria and a 24 hour sports bar. However, everything was an upsell. They ran out of towels often. There were no entertainment/animation staff and the arcade shown in the hotels booking page doesn't exist. I booked a 2 bed suite but we ended up sharing a bed, not ideal. The staff were great but I would not return

Me gusto que es un lugar pequeño pero muy acogedor, muy buen lugr para descansar y también pasarla bien, ame el jardin que lleva a la playa y tambien al llegar a la playa. La persona de limoieza que se encargo de limpiar nuestro cuarto ella super linda y atenta, encargo realidad nis gusto el trato y muy buen precio. Lo unico que deberian de cambiar son los paneles de las orillas de una parte de la alberca, de ahi en fuera todo bien.

I paid for VIP once getting to the hotel. The check in process was easy and the person who helped us was great. We were instructed to go to the VIP Lounge where the receptionist was supposed to give us our VIP bracelets and other goodies. She was too busy on the phone and did not provide us with additional information. One of the days, water was dripping from the AC and light fixture. I called maintenance and they said the AC was defrosting and they will come back in an hour and I never heard from them again. Another night, I went to one of the speciality restaurants (Mexican) and after waiting 30 mins after being seated, our order was not taken and tacos were given to us. It seemed like it was left over meat put into tacos. Then the buffet was closed and we were not able to have dinner. The waiters/servers ignored us sometimes and once when I asked for water someone sucked their teeth. I understand this hotel is on the affordable end in puerto plata but the service has to be better. I have never experience anything like this. It was disappointing.
