"This cozy, beautifully decorated and organized cottage had everything I needed for my short term rental with my dog Sophie. It was spotless, probably one of the cleanest homes I’ve seen, and provided a comfortable stay with a well equipped kitchen, WiFi TV and AC. The cottage is close to other homes, but it’s a peaceful and quiet area. The few neighbors I encountered were very friendly. I would definitely return to this lovely home."

The kitchen was thoughtfully stocked, linens and extra blankets/pillows were clean and plentiful, kayaks were in great shape and easy to navigate around the lovely and tranquil lake. "We had a nice stay at this charming historic cottage while my daughter and her friend competed at the annual Millbrook Horse Trials over 4 days. The kitchen had everything needed plus they included some extras in the fridge such as filtered water, ice, coffee, etc. We loved to see the chickens running around too. We hope to return next year and book this same place once we have the dates!"

"My wife and decided to decompress from life in Manhattan with a two-week stay at this cottage by the lake. We had an absolute blast. "The house was perfectly situated on the lake. It had areas that I could close the gates, deck/yard, to keep in or out my 3yr old grandson and our dog. It made for a very relaxing time for all of us. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. There were plenty of toys to keep my grandson occupied! My 15 yr old granddaughter loved fishing off the deck and the dock. "This trip was for our extended family including 10 people ages 18-??. This house is located about 1/2 mile up a windy road above the race brook lodge's main facilities. Everyone loved the secluded location with beautiful views of the mountains out of main living area and 2nd floor. "This is an adorable, rustic lakeside cabin n the Berks, it’s the real deal and very comfortable and simply but well appointed. We felt like part of the multi-generational family history in the quaint camp. The lake is beautiful and smaller, so peaceful, definitely grab some firewood along the road for the fire pit.
