  • Esta es la cabaña del lago tu abuela visitó durante su infancia. Encantador, 1920 características originales. Everything from start to finish was great! Alden was the perfect host...answering questions timely, checking in during the week to ensure all was well. The house itself is a quaint, old summer lake cottage that has been well kept. I hope to visit this property again in the future.

Wonderful relaxing weekend

Beautiful location, lovely cabin, great facilities. 5 star weekend getaway all around. Alden was very helpful leading up to our check in and very accommodating.

The house is very comfortable and perfect for visiting with family and friends.We enjoyed the roomy kitchen space. The porch is great for relaxing and gazing at the tranquil lake. We appreciated the use of the canoe and the dock.

Nice tucked away property, fit all 14 of us comfortably with some air mattresses, and great fishing all weekend.

Swimming and relaxing

Lots of time was spent in the lake, and thanks for the new dock for easy access to the water. The house is very comfortable for cooking and resting. Love the screened porch for lake views.

Have had a large family gathering here a few years in a row. Plenty of room for everyone and all associated activities. We were very happy to find the new stairs and dock, a huge improvement for water access.

Step back in time

Great old, classic lakeside lodge. Quiet yet close to local towns. Wonderful, large kitchen for cooks and guests that extends out to a large, open living and dining room. Lovely screened porch looking out over the peaceful lake. Perfect for families and friends!

Comfortable lakeside home

The house had several roomy seating areas icluding a large screened porch. The kitchen had lots of counter space and we enjoyed cooking in it. We did lots of swimming and canoeing. Had a very good week.

great fall stay!

We had a wonderful time in Lakeville. The house is close to great hiking trails with wonderful fall foliage! The house was well-equipped for cooking and was spacious. We enjoyed the lake views and hanging out by the fire in the evening! The cabin was pretty chilly in October, and the space heaters helped heat up the smaller rooms but didn't make the main room and kitchen particularly warm, so plan to build a fire in the fireplace in the kitchen and the woodstove if you're there in the fall!

Great Getaway Spot!

Over the summer, a group of friends and I met at this house, central to travelers from NYC, Boston and Baltimore, and enjoyed a few days in heaven at the Lake House. The location is set back off of a lightly travelled street, yet a short drive to the local grocer. Ample accommodations for a larger group, we enjoyed cooking in the beautiful kitchen, sharing the long dining table, beautiful views and serenity of the place. The lake was great for splashing around in on long summer days! We wished it was cool enough to need the fireplace inside, but enjoyed the fire pit in the yard instead. Highly recommend this place for folks interested in a quiet destination!

Idyllic!

We had an absolutely wonderful time at this timeless cottage. The simple but spacious and comfortable cottage evokes an era of long and unhurried summers, yet areas such as the kitchen are fully updated and ready to for everything from big group dinners to quick snacks. The setting could not be better: a generous and very-private yard, shielded by spreading trees, looks out to the lovely quiet lake. The screened porch, the dock, or the canoe are all perfect spots for enjoying long summer sunsets. And the trails, shops, country roads, and people of the area could not be more charming. We feel so grateful to have been able to enjoy this special experience!
