"Everything was perfect with the property and the host even came to help right away when we had one issue with the lights."

"The yard is awesome, of course the hot tub at the top of the hill was the best, and we enjoyed the firepit as well. The house was a tidy little cottage at which we enjoyed our stay. It’s within a short walk to the National Park and downtown Miller Beach. The neighborhood is fine, pretty secluded, and still close to most attractions."

"The Blue Bird House was perfect for our brief stopover near Indiana Dunes to visit with friends. Communication was excellent! Check in and check out was easy-peasy! Kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed. Fenced yard was great for giving our dog a little room to stretch. Bunkbeds were perfect for our teens. I wish we could have stayed longer, but I would definitely stay here again when we're back in the area."

"We had a great stay at the Funky Turtle. The house was clean and just enough space for my family of 5. The house is close to campground bathrooms if the occasional extra bathroom is needed. We enjoyed the fire pit, use of the grill, and sitting on the porch. Our only complaint is about the noise but it was clear from the map that the campground was located near an interstate. "Enjoyed three nights at this property to hike the dunes. Location was good, towards the West side of the park but an easy drive to multiple hikes. Also had the option to walk directly from the house for the Miller Woods trail and Miller Woods Beach. Backyard was great for relaxing after a day of hiking. Grill was easy to use with the hard lined gas and hot tub was clean and enjoyable. If you do bring more than 2 cars, the remote lot is at the Miller train stop about a mile south. Was a bit...

"We all just loved it here, all the beds are very comfortable, everything is in good working order. Communication with managers was prompt and easy. We would have appreciated an orientation book, to minimize hunting for first aid kit; we didn't find it until the end of the last day. There is one or two bathrooms that have no towel racks, so door nobs had to do. We also thought the check in early and check out late fees were way too high. "Overall, the property had all the amenities we needed, was peaceful and just what we were looking for while on our road trip. We were within a short driving distance to the Indiana Dunes. "While it is a good size house, dining table only seats six and comfort of furniture could stand to be improved. The towels were poor and not enough, and there wasn’t enough kitchen dishes, glasses or silverware for 9 people. "
