"Centrally located in Oakland, this Marriott must have renovated from the last time I visited. They’re going for a more chic urban vibe in the decor. Front desk was super helpful in getting checked in and I appreciated we got to tell them up front we wouldn’t need housekeeping. Unfortunately the room was not very well maintained. There were a lot of missed details, like (3 glasses instead of 4 for the ice bucket and bathroom), the fitted sheet was barely tucked in, and there was a layer of film...

"Shuttle fairly far to get to car rental. Breakfast standard. Rooms are not turned over daily. Inadequate shampoo in bathroom."
