Picture yourself driving up to the Rumbling Bald Resort on Lake Lure NC, the first thing you see is the 3,200 foot mountain with its magnificent towering cliffs perched high above the lake. The resort is spread over 3000+ acres and the community provides activities and amenities for the whole family, all included in your rental. With 2 golf courses, tennis courts, spa and fitness center, hiking and biking trails, boating and much more. Each season is filled with everything a mountain vacation should include. Our three-bedroom two bath country cottage has all the modern conveniences to make your stay comfortable and all the charms of a mountain getaway. If you are a couple looking to get away from it all or a multi-generational family having a holiday get together, Honeycrisp Cottage at Rumbling Bald Resort is right for you! The open plan living area has a fully stocked newly renovated kitchen for preparing great meals for family and friends. We have all the small appliances, pots, pans, cutlery, dishes and glasses to prepare a holiday meal or an intimate dinner for two. In the summer, spring and fall you will find pots filled with fresh herbs that are there for the picking! We have a lovely dining area with a farmers table and a comfy living room with a gas fireplace, brand new flat screen TV for viewing satellite channels, Netflix, Amazon or bring your own films to play on the new DVD player. There are three bedrooms; a master suite with King-size bed and private bath on one side of the house and on the other side a bedroom with a queen-size bed and a bedroom with two twin beds and a shared bathroom with shower and tub. We have stocked the house with books, games, puzzles and DVDs for those nights you just want to stay in. There is a secluded deck off the living room with a gas grill and outdoor table for dining in the warmer weather. The house is fully air conditioned (new air conditioner just installed) in the summer (although you will want to throw the windows open for the crisp cool summer evenings) and well heated for the winter. This is a four seasons rental, we are set up comfortably for 6 people. We provide all linens, toiletries, dishes, pots and pans and other essentials for getting your vacation off to a good start...the cupboards are filled with spices, oils, vinegars, mustards and other mainstays to start you on your cooking experience. Our guests have thrown great dinner parties and barbecues for friends and family. We do accept well behaved dogs, sorry no cats.

Check in was easy. The location was great. This was the best equipped rental we have ever had for a vacation. The owners provided everything for an awesome vacation!!!!

Our family had the most relaxing and wonderful stay in this quaint 3 bedroom cabin nested on the mountainside. Beautiful views from the wrap around porch and close to the recreation areas. The guest passes for the indoor pool and spa were wonderful.The cabin itself was well stocked with every cooking item we could need. Clean, cozy and perfect for out getaway!

Honeycrisp is a great place to stay. Everything you could possibly want or need in the kitchen. Bedding is so comfortable. Furniture is very nice. Plenty of hot water. WiFi was great. I would recommend this property. Just know there are quite a few curves getting there. There’s enough room for two vehicles. For us, it was a little tight (we had 2 vehicles) but that’s only because we drove our F250, otherwise it would be no problem. Great place! Enjoy!

The cabin was great. Rumbling Bald is a great resort with many amenities. We weren’t able to enjoy them quite as much as we would have liked because of the rain, but the cabin has a great Roku TV with fast internet to pass the time during the rain. The host was easy to communicate with.

This 3 BR 2 BA cottage is centrally located in the Lake Lure community and is in a resort with amenities including beach, indoor & outdoor pools, 2 golf courses, and a wellness center & spa. The house itself is nicely laid out and has a wraparound porch. It accommodated our family of 5 perfectly and the host was very responsive. Would highly recommend it.

This house was great for our family. All bedrooms being on the same level was a plus. Access to all of the Rumbling Bald amenities added to our overall experience. Passes and wrist bands for the 4th of July events we’re waiting on us in the house. Check in was simple and easy. House is close to a hiking trailhead which was nice for our dog. Would definitely stay here again.

The cabin was extraordinary. However, I was under the impression that ALL the amenities were within walking distance I envisioned several cabins in a resort and the pool , hot tub, mini golf. Etc we're all right there together

I was there for Christmas and although the weather didn’t participate the house was just lovely. Very clean, had everything we needed and was so cutely decorated. We loved our stay and highly recommend those cottage.

Honeycrisp was lovely. It had everything we needed to prepare a feast, although we couldn’t find a potato masher among all the wonderful gadgets and kitchen tools. The home is warm and cozy but ample space for everyone. The bathrooms were fantastic. Beds comfy. We wanted to try the grill but there was a black bear roaming about so we thought it might not be wise to entice it with grilling. I highly recommend this place. The hosts were responsive and super helpful. Can’t wait to try it again in the summer.

This was a perfect house for a getaway with family. The house was very clean, there is a lot provided with your stay. Owners were very nice and responses were very quick. I would recommend staying here. It was very quiet around us.

Honey crisp was everything they described and more. The place was immaculate, well stocked with everything you can imagine, every appliance big and small were available. More than enough bedding and towels. Even supplied bathrobes. If you have children this is the place to bring them. Toys and swim toys galore. The access to the gym and lake were a bonus. Highly recommend this beautiful, quiet retreat house. We will be back

Very needed time to ourselves. This cabin was perfect! Well appointed and stocked with all you need. Close to resort but secluded for privacy! All is as advertised! Wouldn’t change a thing! Five Stars!!!
