Janela do Mar is a privately owned Villa which has been totally refurbished to a very high standard in 2009. It is set in approx 3,000 sq.m plot with private electric gates and landscaped gardens with Private South West Facing Pool. There is a large Weber gas BBQ for alfresco dining with comfortable outdoor furniniture. The patio has excellent private sea views and there is a all weather Table Tennis for some leisure during your stay. The Lounge has a 40' LED TV, DVD player, surround, Sonos system and Wifi. The Kitchen has been fitted with an American Fridge Freezer with Ice Maker, Hob, Oven with Extractor Hood, Dishwasher and Coffee Machine. The Laundry Room is fitted with Washing Machine and Tumble Dryer. The Master Suite is located on the first floor with own private bathroom and terrace and fantastic sea views. The other three bedrooms and two bathrooms are located on the ground floor.






Carvoeiro: Carvoeiro is a pretty fishing village with its own beach just 45 minutes along the coast road west of Faro Airport and 3 hours south of Lisbon . Still retaining the character and tradition of Portuguese life, the local shops and mini-Mercado's sell most of the things you will need. There is also a Bank, Bureau de Change, Pharmacy and 2 Doctors Clinics. Carvoeiro has all the essentials for the perfect holiday.

The local market sells fresh fruit, vegetables, meat and locally caught fish. There is also a good butcher and a baker in the village. The much larger town of Portimao with its fishing harbour, numerous restaurants and many varied shops is only 10 minutes drive away. A whole day can be spent there starting with breakfast of freshly caught sardines grilled alfresco by the harbour side.


Restaurants - Bars - Nightlife: The many bars and restaurants offer all types of cuisine including Vietnamese, Italian, French and of course Portuguese, where you can enjoy an excellent meal of freshly caught fish and sample the famous inexpensive Portuguese wines. Prices vary so check the menu outside. All of the restaurants welcome children and some have special children's menus.

Golf and Tennis, Slide'n'Splash.: Our property is within walking distance of the on the beautiful Vale do Milho course. Rounds can be arranged through the Club House. There are two more courses in Carvoeiro, these are Gramacho and Pinta and facilities here also include a driving range. The championship course at Penina a 20 minute drive away and the world famous Vilamoura is a 35 minute drive. Vale do Lobo is only a 40 minute drive away. If taking golf clubs, these may need to be notified to your airline. A half set is allowed per person but is included in the baggage allowance (20 kilos).
Other Activities: Tennis Club at Rocha Brava which is a 5 minute walk. Slide'n'Splash is 10 min drive away.

Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit zu acht in diesem außergewöhnlichen Haus in Carvoeiro.Es gibt dort viel Platz, um zusammen zu essen oder zu spielen, aber auch, um sich einmal zurückzuziehen. Wir haben den schönen Pool und den Grillplatz sehr genossen. Die Betten sind bequem und in der Augusthitze ist die Klimaanlage sehr hilfreich! Hier könnte ein zweiter Kühlschrank nicht schaden.In der Umgebung kann man vieles unternehmen, Supermärkte und Strände sind ebenfalls nicht weit.Es war eine tolle Woche, wir würden das Haus auf jeden Fall wieder buchen, vielen Dank!

The accommodation is well placed for beaches and places of interest and is very well equipped. The house is very spacious and includes lots of features that make the stay enjoyable. The host made access easy and provided clear instructions. Highly rated.

Not bad but disappointed with lack of outside comfortable seating.Outside table was a fold up plastic craft table not in keeping with villa.Lounge had one four seater settee for 8 people.No shade at times on patio and only two parasols.This was big problem with small children.8 guests but only six dining chairs and four plastic armchairs.Only six sunbeds of poor quality.BBQ old and needs replacing.Could be nice villa but needs some love.Had a nice time despite the problems.

Villa très jolie avec tout le nécessaire à disposition, la localisation et la piscine sont vraiment les atouts majeurs de la maison. Les améliorations possibles sont le barbecue et une meilleure table sur la terrasse côté piscine. Les transats ont été changé durant notre séjour, ils sont beaucoup mieux. Isabel est réactive et très accueillante, merci beaucoup pour ce séjour

Belle maison, endroit, calme, mais dommage que le confort ne soit pas entretenu, c’est-à-dire durant la semaine. Impossible de s’allonger sur les fauteuils au bord de la piscine car ils étaient tous déchirés. Impossible aussi de jouer au ping-pong, car la table était complètement déformée. Et aussi la piscine mal entretenu..

Excellent holiday

We had a great stay at Janelo do Mar. The villa is in a great location near restaurants and a short drive to beautiful beaches. We had a few issues which Isabel did her best to sort out. One point I would raise is the lack of lighting by the BBQ area. We were only a family of 4 so could eat during the evening at the small table outside the villa overlooking the pool but we couldn’t see to BBQ! The bathrooms are modern and towels and toilet roll are supplied which is a nice touch. Also some basics in the kitchen too which was brilliant

Very good

The accommodation was very comfortable and clean. Communication with Isobel was excellent . Any problems answered very quickly. Great location. Just a few things to make it perfect would be outside furniture not overly comfortable, pool needs re tiling as a couple of sharp tiles. Table tennis table in poor condition and probably needs replacing.

Superb property & quite location

Isabel was a great communicator from the start and very responsive and helpful. The villa is generally is very spacious and presented impeccable clean thanks the the effort of Christina (the house keeper) who also visits mid week during the stay. The kitchen is very well equipped with decent appliances and the small kitchen equipment, outside there’s a big gas BBQ (supplied with gas). The large pool was great, especially on the hotter days, along with options of seating/sun beds and parasols for additional shade. Intermarché supermarket is 5 minutes away by car and has all your needs covered. A couple of local family run restaurant’s which are a 10 minute walk down the road and well worth a visit, Rocha Mar Restaurante and Jardim do Farol. Carvoeiro is an easy drive and a nice little place, not too commercialised yet but does get busy later in the day. All in all a great property and location of a quite family holiday.

Heerlijke uitvalsbasis voor twee weken Algarve

Een heerlijke ruim huis waar we met 8 volwassenen verbleven. Kamers en badkamers waren schoon en ruim. Uitstekende voorzieningen. Goed uitgeruste keuken en heerlijk grote koelkast. Zwembad was heerlijk. Zeker aan te bevelen dus.

Lovelly and quiet villa for relaxing holidays

Great house for our family holidays. Clean, spacious and confortable. Isabel is very friendly, helpful and always available. Cristina, the cleaning lady, is also very nice and friendly. Great staff! Nice kitchen and bathrooms. We loved the welcome drink at the fridge. The rooms are good with lots of storage. The beds are soft, which was not as appreciated by us but it’s a matter of taste. Pool towels are available. Although there was air conditioning, not all units were functioning. Pool and the outside area are great. Ping pong table is quite old and we couldn't play properly.

Very Nice Villa

Overall the villa was very nice. The AC units in the family room and kitchen wouldn't come on most of the time, but that didn't really matter because it wasn't hot outside. We would stay there again.

A great location and wonderful home. The outdoor shower and washroom were convenient to have near the pool and we appreciated having pool towels and lounge chairs for everyone. We also appreciated being able to communicate with Isabel. Thank you for a great stay!

A great stay

Isabel was great from the very start. Very quick responses and really helpful. There were a couple of little issues during our stay-nothing serious but Isabel got them sorted very quickly. The villa has lots of space and the kitchen is well equipped. We loved the pool and the sun beds are great. 2 new parasols and a sunshade over the dining table provide shade if that’s what you want. Directions say that the Lighthouse bar is 10 mins away but there is a little back way in which means you are there in 3 minutes! It’s a lovely place and we very happily went there several times for aperitifs or dinner. Not the cheapest but a lovely terrace and good food. Staff are very friendly too. Carvoeiro is an easy drive and a nice little place. Less spoiled than some of the other towns. All in all, to be recommended.

Preciosa y súper cómoda.

La casa es preciosa y súper cómoda!!!! Habitaciones espaciosas con buenos armarios. Baños nuevos. Cocina con todo tipo de utensilios y pequeños electrodomésticos. Terraza y Zona de la piscina súper amplia con muchas hamacas, baño exterior para no tener que entrar en la casa. Isabel la propietaria estuvo pendiente de nosotros para garantizar una perfecta estancia y así fue. Totalmente recomendable!!! Muchas gracias Isabel!!!🙏🏼🤗
