Beautiful three bedroom, two bathroom lodge retreat with large family room, romantic fireplace, sitting room, game table, nice kitchen, breakfast bar, laundry room and large barbecue deck with lounge furniture overlooking gentle slope down to sandy beach on clear water Lake Bobidosh with swim raft, docks, canoes, kayaks and pontoon boat for rent.

Come enjoy the wonderful fishing, swimming, fun and relaxation.

Listen to the family of loons singing, birdwatch or catch a glimpse of deer feeding at the water's edge and beavers swimming. Watch bald eagles soar above or dive for their catch while resting on the beach, our swim raft, hammock or out on the dock under 100 year old pine trees right on Lake Bobidosh. View the night skies full of bright stars, the northern lights and hear the sounds of the woods next to a blazing bonfire with friends and family making lifelong memories.

Centrally located and close enough to enjoy all that the Northwoods has to offer we have everything you'll need for your vacation. Mick, the host, was asking if there was anything he could get us to make our stay better. But there’s already boats and hammocks and campfires and a beautiful lake and a nice house with everything you need in a kitchen. I couldn’t find think of anything to ask for. It’s wonderful.

Property was really nice. We rented a pontoon boat and took that out to fish and watch wildlife (baby loons!!). Fishing off the dock was fun.The water was perfect for swimming. The property had shared kayaks, canoes, row boat, etc which is perfect for the no wake lake.6 of us stayed in the lodge and it was more than comfortable. The lodge was well stocked with kitchen items and plenty of towels.The little dog run area off the front porch was great for our dogs! They didn’t have to be toted around the property.It is a shared property, so beach area and such are common areas.

Lac du Flambeau Family Reunion

The Lodge was just perfect for our family, 6 adults & 1 infant. We were close to family on Middle Sugarbush Lake and our main reunion host.Couples w small children came over to enjoy the Sandy to beach and loved it.The Lodge is clean and has a nice classic Up North apeal. Lollie and Mick are friendly, and very accommodating. Overall excellent fun week!!!

Incredible Lake Home

We stayed as a group of 7 teacher friends and we will be booking again for next summer! There isn’t any amenity that was overlooked by the hosts, Mick and Lollie. The beach area felt like a true vacation with lots of chairs, firepits, hammocks, glider swings, lounge chairs and kayaks/canoes/rowboats. The lake has a level sand entry, so swimming and floating was pleasant with no weeds. It’s evident the hosts put great thought into their lodge because the kitchen feels as well-equipped as home and towels, blankets, pillows were in abundance. The deck had plenty of patio table seating and extra chairs. Other than personal items and food, you don’t need to bring much! Mick and Lollie were exceptional hosts and we can’t wait to go back.

Perfect place for a peaceful getaway

Our stay was perfect! We were able to bring our retriever Henry, which was great. He was able to swim for his first time there off of the beach frontage. We rented one of the pontoon boats and fished. Everything you are looking for the do up north in one spot. Would recommend 10/10 times. Hosts were super responsive And had everything you could need to have a comfortable stay

Wonderful Stay!

I am very thankful for being able to stay at Thunderbird point. Our family had an amazing vacation- filled with lake fun, fishing and fresh air. Mick and Lolly were fantastic hosts- supremely responsive and helpful. The home was spic and span and very cozy for quiet mornings and relaxing evenings. The lake was clear as could be. Perfect Northwoods getaway.

Family getaway

We had 8 in our party and had a blast! We had us 2 parents, 3 adult children, 2 teenagers and an 11 yr old and there was something for everyone. We enjoyed fishing on the pontoon and using the kayaks. We swam and enjoyed the beach. Our dog had a blast too!! Our hosts were very attentive, checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. He gave recommendations for things to do in the area. It was so peaceful on the lake. There was not any thing we were without or wished we had. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed. It was spacious enough for our crew. I would highly recommend this property!

Lakehouse in the Woods

Our group of 9 (consisting of adults, teens, pre-teens, toddlers), plus a dog, enjoyed our stay. The cabin fit all of us comfortably- be sure to read the bedroom setups in the description to make sure it fits your group. There was some confusion with the listing initially (it showed a hot tub, but we found out later that was no longer there), and confusion with the bathroom situation (listing shows 1 bathroom, when in fact there were 2). The common areas of the home were plenty big enough for all of us to cook, have family meals together, play games, work on puzzles, etc. Great deck area and of course a great beach area. A few oddities we encountered: 1. The owners are onsite and the property is protected by Ring cameras. None felt intrusive until one evening as we sat around the fire pit at the beach, when an owner activated the camera and we heard a loud TV of theirs in the background for a few minutes before they disconnected. 2. The owner’s dogs roam the property, which wouldn’t have been an issue except that one of the dogs growled at my dog multiple times, and the dogs left their potty messes in our space (I stepped in dog poop when I walked out the front door to walk my own dog). 3. In addition to the owner’s home and the attached home we rented, there is a smaller cabin on the property closer to the lake. A family rented that one while we were there, so we were sharing the beach/pier areas.

Everything we wanted

Exactly what we hoped for. The house was comfortable, clean and spacious. The lake is beautiful with a nice sandy beach. We caught several northern pike and a number of bass from the rented pontoon boat. Mick was cordial, accommodating and responsive whenever we contacted him. We had a great time.

Wonderful slice of Heaven!

This cabin is located on such a perfect lake. We have a family of five kids ages 16-20. They played on the beach, fished and caught nice ones, swam and boated. The use of the kayaks, canoe and row boat were perfect. The swim dock was great too. Such a great family time and perfect for kids just to be kids and enjoy nature. We will be back!
