"Our family of 5 had a wonderful stay at Cabanas Rio Escondido. The property is beautiful, and the pools were nice for relaxing in after a day exploring La Fortuna. Our family apartment had two balconies - one in front and one in back facing the river. Check-in and check out were easy, and we appreciated the recommendations for transportation and restaurants. "

"Property is very close to downtown. Walking 1 to 2 km in this town is normal distance. We moved around with rental car. House/condo is very clean and rooms are nice. Kitchen has mostly everything you need. Our family loved it. Alao they recommended very nice Mexican restaurant and a local shop for empanada which were the best. "

"This is such a gorgeous property. The hosts were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious! We wish we had more time there, but only stayed for 1night and had to catch our flight out that morning. Stayed 1 night in June 2025"

"Its great property for family vacation. 3 big rooms and big kitchen with a view of the arenal volcano. The property is gated and enclosed and felt very safe. The host was very communicative and friendly. Highly recommend"

"We really enjoyed our stay in Villa Tropical! It was clean, check in process was easy with Mario meeting us at the property and showing us around the house. The backyard was wonderful and relaxing with the pool and lounge chairs. Beds were comfortable, we felt safe and saw lots of wild life in the yard. Frogs, birds, geckos, monkeys high up in the trees and a toucan! Was conveniently only 10 mins into town! Would definitely recommend. "

"Property was calm, quiet and peaceful. It had ac which made it comfortable to be during warm humid climate. The property was only minutes away from center of La fortuna where shops and restaurants were located. We had minor inconvenience with the bathroom, but host was quick to address. We had a great time at the location! "
