  • Hotel Suite Style Space in Fabulous home located in the Bird Rock, La Jolla beach community of San Diego. Walk to your favorite local restaurant, enjoy coffee on the ocean bluffs, and access spectacular sunset view walks with a picnic and glass of wine within minutes to numerous scenic ocean overlooks. Walk to several world class beaches approximately 1 mile from this great location. (Tourmaline Surf Park and WindandSea Beach) Nice alternative to staying in an expensive La Jolla Hotel and just a few blocks from the beach and shopping areas of the Bird Rock community. Take a short trip to Pacific Beach.

    Private rental has one room with a suite style attached family room and a single full bath. Newly remodeled and very clean. Enjoy complete privacy in this lower suite with its own private locked entrance. Included is a small bedroom with a queen-size bed with comfy memory foam mattress, a leather couch that converts to a queen-size bed and small dining area. We can also provide a single air-mattress if requested. (sleeps 4+)

    Take a short trip to Pacific Beach. Walk to several world class beaches approximately 1 mile from this great location. (Tourmaline Surf Park and WindandSea Beach)

    Special Note: This space is the bottom story of a larger residence and you can hear the occupants walking around on the floor above. We have installed sound attenuation and provide a sound machine to help mitigate the inconvenience. Most guests love the area, location and the place but if you are sensitive to this type of noise we would rather you understand upfront then book and be unhappy.

The spot was the perfect size for the three of us. Comfortable and fun atmosphere. The hosts were very nice with great recommendations and the location was central to the beaches and activities we wanted to enjoy. Wonderful vacation spot!

This is a cute little spot within walking distance to boutique shops, restaurants and stunning ocean views. The owners were super kind and met us in person on arrival. On street parking right in front of the property was always available.

La Jolla Getaway

This was the perfect quaint place to stay for my boyfriend and I. It has 1 bathroom with everything you need and very communicative and helpful hosts who live just above the casita. Would definitely recommend to anyone staying in LaJolla!

Quaint and convenient

The property was perfectly located for my activities in La Jolla, and was within walking distance of some good restaurants. No troubles with parking or check-in. The hosts were very responsive.

A Gem in La Jolla

This place is wonderful. We love La Jolla and this was the perfect place to stay. It was spacious and very clean. It is perfect for an extended weekend getaway. I recommend it to anyone. These days it is really hard to find rentals that don’t break the bank. I thought it was reasonably priced for the area. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Short, but lovely stay

My husband and I were visiting LA from Ohio and planned an overnight trip to San Diego. This room was perfect! The host gave us wonderful ideas and suggestions for us to do during our short visit. He was there to welcome us and very friendly and helpful. Will plan a longer visit!

La Jolla Sweet Spot!

My cousin and I absolutely loved our stay at this wonderful little pad. The bedroom with door enclosed a comfortable queen bed complete with sound machine and nice lamp. The sleeper sofa was also comfy. We appreciated the mini fridge and coffee/tea left for us. Place is immaculately and tastefully decorated and can't beat the location. Host warm, welcoming and helpful!

Great location

We had a great stay in this basement property with its own entrance. There are no frills (just a small fridge/microwave), but the accommodations were comfortable and walkable to a number of great spots. We wanted to be near friends who we were visiting in this neighbor and this place was perfect for our needs - would definitely recommend if you’re looking for an alternative to a hotel but don’t need all the amenities of a full house.

Couldn’t ask for a better first Vrbo

This was the first time I’ve ever used Vrbo and I couldn’t ask for a better experience. There was water, coffee, tea, cream, sugar and cups for us to use and the microwave and fridge worked perfectly for us. Thank you!

Beautiful home, private entrance.

Fit our needs perfectly for our son's college graduation weekend. We fit a family of four (with two adult sons) very comfortably. Don't miss out on a walk to the beach! Gorgeous neighborhood a few blocks from a lovely shopping area and the ocean, which we almost missed seeing due to moving son out of dorm. Great stay, and we will come again. Thank you!

Beautiful Cozy place, fantastic location!

We were so lucky to find this property! What a nice clean, beautifully decorated place. It was my husband and I and college age daughter and we fit very comfortably. It was quite warm during our stay and the apartment was perfectly cool with the ceiling fan. Its a great location to walk to shops and restaurants and to the Ocean views. For swimming beaches we drove just 2-4 miles . They supplied 2 chairs and 2 beach towels which was so nice and convenient since we were traveling and did not have our own. Fabulous find !

Convenient Bird Rock Base

A good place to stay for a quick trip to La Jolla and UCSD area. This is a well thought-out decorated basement under the owners' house. Nice amenities in the room and adjoining bed area. All the windows have frosted glass and it's a basement, so realize that this place does not have views to the outside, nor alot of natural light. Bed is soft and foam-like. Open the windows and turn-on the ceiling fan for fresh air circulation. Friendly and responsive hosts. A convenient base of operations for a quick visit to the area.

lovely area and very clean

Very clean, great location, looked like it was recently remodeled. Downside is there is no outdoor area on the premises to enjoy the beautiful weather. Not really an issue because the beach is a short bike ride.
