Hilltop villa, St-Tropez peninsula, 180° sea view

A private villa on the hill above Gigaro, on the Saint-Tropez peninsula, the same stretch of coast as Lily of the Valley. Published in Côté Sud.

The sea runs the full width of the house, 180 degrees, from most rooms and from a covered terrace that seats twelve. Quiet, gated, no one looking in. The beach, the beach clubs and the restaurants are close. The noise is not.

Heated saltwater pool. Eight sun beds. Outdoor dining for twelve. A kitchen built for hosting, with or without a private chef.

THE SPACE
Seven bedrooms, twelve guests. Six full bathrooms, all en suite, plus two half baths. Set on 6,000 m² (1.5 acres) inside a gated domain.

The house is carefully curated, down to the last object, and was published in Côté Sud, the French interior design magazine.

The house splits into two wings. On the pool side: the master with ocean views, a children's room facing the pool, and a guest room, also facing the pool. On the other side, past the living room, three more bedrooms, each with a king bed and ocean views. The seventh bedroom has its own keyed entrance from the front garden, which makes it the room for a nanny, for a couple who want their own front door, or for teenagers keeping different hours.

The children's room has a single bed and a cot. The bed is 1.90 m, long enough for a teenager.

The living room has two sofa areas, one with an indoor fireplace.

The kitchen is the reason the house works. La Cornue induction range, V-ZUG steam ovens and a plate warmer, two V-ZUG dishwashers, Mauviel copper, a full-height fridge and a large-capacity ice maker. For prep: Thermomix, an Ankarsrum with pasta rollers and meat grinder, a Bamix, a food processor, a meat slicer, two deep fryers with fry cutters, a juice press and a fruit press. Wok, tagine, rice cooker, waffle iron. Four bar seats at the counter and a marble table that seats seven.

Filtered water is plumbed in, chilled, still and sparkling, so no hauling bottles. A coffee bar with espresso machine, Nespresso milk frother and kettle.

Air conditioning throughout. Sonos in most rooms, on the south terrace and at the pool. Large washer and dryer, steam iron and board.

GUEST ACCESS
The whole villa and grounds. Nothing shared, and highly private.

The property is fully fenced with its own gate and video entry, inside a gated domain. You get remotes for both, plus the remote for the private shortcut down to Gigaro beach.

Covered parking for four cars. Three EV charging points, standard speed rather than fast charging, but they are there.

There is an alarm you can arm overnight with a special function so the bedrooms sit outside the zones, so it is usable rather than theoretical.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE
There are some steps inside the house and in the garden. Nothing strenuous, but the two wings sit on different levels, so every bedroom is reached by stairs. The one exception is the seventh bedroom, which opens straight onto the front garden at ground level.

The pool is saltwater and heated. The heating is for the shoulder seasons; in high summer it is warm enough without.

Outside there are two places to seat twelve: a fully covered ocean-facing porch terrace off the house, and a large dining table on the pool side. A second terrace upstairs has the same frontal view. Poolside, an outdoor sofa lounge, eight sun beds with parasols, plus a patio with an outdoor shower, an outdoor half bath, a Big Green Egg BBQ, and storage with pool toys for children.

THE NEIGHBORHOOD
Gigaro beach and the beach clubs are a few minutes down the hill, with a private shortcut from the property for which we provide a remote control. Lily of the Valley and its restaurant are on the same road.

Near the house, Cap Lardier and Cap Taillat are protected coastline, some of the best walking on the peninsula and never crowded.

Pampelonne and its beach clubs are fifteen minutes at most. Saint-Tropez town about twenty. Close to all of it, none of the noise.
