Beautiful gite in the sarthe countryside

Our hosts were excellent. They communicated with us a lot before and during our arrival and were very flexible. They fixed an issue with the Internet in just 1 days (we needed it as we were working remotely) The countryside is amazing, covered in little interconnected paths for lovely walks, long and short. The cottage is beautiful and was immaculately clean when we arrived. It had everything we could need for our 3 week stay. Highly recommended!

Très bel endroit qui serait parfait avec quelques améliorations

Le gîte est accueillant et meublé avec goût. L’emplacement est au calme, dans un village. Petit bémol sur quelques aménagements intérieurs : 1/ la porte donnant accès à la salle de bain étant vitrée, un rideau a été posé devant la vitre mais d’une part il a été installé à l’extérieur de la salle de bain (j’ai trouvé ce choix un peu étrange) et d’autre part le rideau n’est pas assez large pour réellement masquer toute la vitre… 2/ concernant la chambre passante, la lampe permettant d’éclairer le couloir menant aux deux autres chambres se trouve en fait au plafond de la chambre passante, si bien que si par réflexe vous appuyez sur l’interrupteur pour éclairer le couloir, la lumière inonde la petite chambre et vous risquez fort d’en réveiller l’occupant…

2 night stay

Christine, the owner, was very welcoming and understanding because we were very late arriving for check-in. We really loved this gite, the 2 main bedrooms were large with wardrobes for hanging space, although we didn't need them. There is a washing machine also and a dishwasher and full cooking facilities. We became acquainted with Jaz the springer spaniel who was very well behaved. We also enjoyed looking around the huge gardens there and they are beautifully maintained. We spent a day out at the Le Mans museum and circuit which is a half hour drive from the gite. The gite is around 3 hours drive from Caen and is situated in a very small and quiet village. I would definitely stay again.

A lovely gite, full of old-world charm yet splendidly modernised and very well equipped indeed, set in beautiful gardens - more an estate! Everything was spotless and high quality. Owner was very welcoming and avaiable if required. We were most impressed!

Peut etre pas en hiver

Un peu frais pour nous et comme le proprietaire prend que 20kw a sa charge on n ose pas augmenter le chauffage... heureusement il y a la cheminée.... un peu sombre en hiver, on a pas pu profiter du jardin qui a l air tres sympas.... je pe se qu au printemps ou en été sa doit etre mieu.... l adresse n est pas tres bien indiquée car nous avons eu du mal a trouver car un autra endrpit dans le meme vilage s appelle presque pareil a un accent près. Mais sinon tres bien l hote est sympathique.... pour juste y dormir en hover sa fait l affaire.....

Accueil de notre hôte très agréable et le logement est très bien équipé. Situé à 10 minutes du Mans, 20 min de la base de loisirs de Sillé, ce qui en fait une destination idéale pour visiter la région et profiter des paysages et lieux à voir.

Lovely gite and stay

Tucked away in a small village the gite is quiet and private. The owners are helpful and on hand but never intrusive. Their lovely dog liked to pay the odd visit too. The gite was spotlessly clean and everything was provided, we didnt need to purchase anything extra. It is quite rural but le Mans and plenty of other towns and villages are easy to get to via car with quiet local roads. Highlights of our stay were visiting le Mans, Mayenne, Abbey de l'Epau, Evron, Laval and plenty of local markets. Highly recommended for a holiday break with or without children.
