"Nice place"

"We stayed overnight and ate in the restaurant. All rather hit & miss. Room was clean & comfortable. The problem was it was poorly ventilated & very stuffy with no air con - a fan helped but it was still difficult to sleep. Not helped by being unable to turn off the bathroom light - I guess it used a motion sensor but it was a good 10 minutes before the light went off.

"This place is a hidden gem. A wonderful hostess who cooks up a storm at very reasonable prices. The rooms are spacious and superb incl. great breakfast. We will come back!"

"Great price and a lovely and helpful proprietor. To the people giving this hotel a bad review: if you want luxury, pay for it. There are no stairs and it's a three story building - this is publicised, so why complain? It's only a 10 minute walk to the town centre. The place is quirky and dated but that is it's charm. Highly recommend. Will be returning."
