My friend and I had booked a twin room and were a disappointed as the pictures had made us believe the rooms were a lot bigger and more modern than they actually are. The room felt quite small and dated, my friend referred to it as "it's like being in a camper van", which was a testament to how small it was, with the plastic bathroom being one step higher than the rest, and the beds being as hard as the floor. The terrace, laundry and staff however did not disappoint. We enjoyed hanging on the rooftop in the evenings, and took time to do a couple of loads of laundry and used some drying racks that were readily available. The staff was always helpful and helped us with restaurant reservations. The hotel is located on a VERY busy street which leads to a popular temple (which can be seen from the rooftop). This was a problem when trying to carry our luggage to and from the hotel as the sidewalk is very narrow and incredibly crowded (especially during peak cherry blossom season as was the case), with the road being filled with tourist bus and constant traffic. We couldn't even get a taxi to come pick us up on our last day, as it would have taken too long to reach the hotel through this traffic, so we walked the busy sidewalk to the closest boulevard (which, to be fair, is only a 5 minute walk).
