Boasting a spectacular location for the ultimate relaxing break, this exceptional house nestles serenely on the shores of Loch Duich. With its tastefully and very comfortably furnished interior and easy access to sailing and fishing (boat hire and launching facilities are available just across the road), it offers an ideal holiday base. Lochside House has magnificent views from most rooms and is stylishly furnished throughout.



    This is excellent walking, cycling and climbing country (the south ridge of Glen Shiel has no less than five munros – hills over 3,000 ft), affording magnificent views of Loch Duich, the Five Sisters of Kintail and famous Eilean Donan Castle, which is surrounded by majestic scenery and is one of the most visited and important attractions in the Scottish Highlands. There are several National Trust properties in the region, including Plockton, a delightful village much loved by artists, and which lies within an easy drive as does Glenelg, home to a country inn providing good food and the seasonal ferry to the Isle of Skye. Here visitors can discover the Isle’s stunning landscape of rugged mountains, tumbling rivers and spectacular coastline that is home to bountiful wildlife, fine museums and craft centres. A pub serving food can be found in Shiel Bridge, 5 miles. A shop and filling station are a few miles further on at Inverinate.

Fantastic Stay at Beautiful Location!

This cozy house is in a stunning location. It has all the amenities you need, and our family of four really enjoyed our stay. It's off the beaten path, so it's a bit of a drive if you're venturing onto Isle of Skye for the day, but it's not too bad, and there's a nearby ferry you can take as well. The host is wonderful and communicative. I highly recommend a stay here!

This is probably the best house I have stayed in, the important factor here is that a great deal of thought has gone into the quality of the fitments, particularly in the lounge the window lamps are stunning ! Everything works, the central heating is easy,no messing with timers ,programers, just switch the radiator on and it works immediately. We had such a wonderful relaxing week at Lochside House. The house is beautifully decorated, warm and welcoming with everything you need provided. Location is along the quiet side of the loch so if you want peace and quiet this is the place for you with very little traffic. Nice to get away! Great house, with awesome views. Enjoyed taking the kids out on the boat - caught no fish! A few midges, but it is Scotland, they were gone on the sunny days. Loved our week at Lochside House.

Loved our week at Lochside House. Fabulous location. The days that I enjoyed most were spent in walks around the house. So quiet too and enjoyed a sound nights sleep every night. Great value!!

Absolutely stunning house in a beautiful area, the views are amazing. Very rural and about 30 minutes drive to the nearest supermarket. A great base to explore the western highlands. I would highly recommend this house.

This is a lovely property.

This is a lovely property. Everything has been thought of. It overlooks Loch Duich, so you have amazing views. You can see many seals and deer. It is pretty secluded and far away from supermarkets and restaurants, so recommend that you plan ahead. Avoid driving when it gets dark as it is a narrow road leading to the property with no lights and on the verge of the loch.

We had a wonderful stay.

We had a wonderful stay. Veiws are stunning. Really enjoyed the rowing boat and the seal that popped up whilst one of us was out on the Loch. It is very remote. We were glad that we brought enough supplies for the first couple of days. But if your prepared that's not an issue.

Each time we have stayed here the house has been welcoming, immaculate, spotlessly clean and equipped with everything you could possibly need. This visit was no exception. We enjoyed the remoteness at the end of the five mile lochside road you take to reach it plus the spectacular and stunning views from the house and the road of Loch Duich and the mountains, which include the Five Sisters. We traveled the short distance to the Isle of Skye several times because it's only a forty minute drive away over the toll-free bridge and did some of the brilliant local walks. We thoroughly enjoyed our two weeks holiday at this house and will be returning again next year.

Comfortabel en rust

Heerlijk huis, van alle gemakken voorzien. Echt een plaats om tot rust te komen. Ik ben nooit van twee keer naar dezelfde plaats gaan maar zou hier graag nog eens terugkomen. Daar zijn we het met vier jongvolwassenen en ouders unaniem over eens!
