With Brennecke's Beach and Poipu Beach within view and just a short walk away, this two-bedroom, two-bath beach house on Kauai's sunny south shore is a great place to call home when visiting the beautiful Garden Island. Enjoy tropical surroundings, ocean and sunset views, and a bright and airy island-style Poipu vacation home nestled in a charming beachside neighborhood.

Size: Approximately 1232 square feet of main living area, all situated upstairs.
Layout: Great room design seamlessly integrates the living room, dining room, and kitchen. Sliding door access from the kitchen leads to a covered lanai, offering an ideal space for outdoor dining with a partial ocean view.

Immaculate house just steps from the beach

This is one of the best beach houses we have ever stayed in. Hosts communication was excellent, and the hosts left local snacks, coffee, fruit, etc to welcome us. The house is well-appointed with almost everything needed for the beach: towels, chairs, sun umbrellas, wagon, boogie boards, and toys for kids. The house was spotless and the kitchen and baths were also well-appointed. Air conditioning was rarely needed, but was quiet and worked very well when we used it. Also, the 1st floor laundry was efficient and appreciated.The house is only a 5 minute walk from Brennecke’s beach, which is small with some crashing surf, perfect for boogie boarding. Five more minutes of walking will get you to Poi’pu Beach which has lifeguards, great snorkeling right off the beach, swimming, and sea turtles. If you’re hungry or thirsty, Brennecke’s Beach Bar is right there as is shave ice, and Puka Dog. There is a coastal heritage trail that we hiked to Shipwreck Beach and Over the bluffs beyond. Old Town Koloa is a short drive.

Such a great find!

We spent four days on a family vacation. Perfect location, the home was extremely well equipped, everything worked, and it was very clean. We had a very comfortable family vacation. Texted the host a couple of times on small items and they were immediately responsive. I would absolutely stay here again.

Kauai is our happy place!

This beach cottage was well appointed, very clean and had everything we would ever need. The location was convenient for family beach days, grocery stores for supplies and great restaurants & boutiques. We made ourselves at home, heated up the gas bbq and cooked up some delicious meals. We found beautiful hand made green MCM vases in the cupboard above the refrigerator… the bouquet of flowers we brought back to the cottage looked stunning! Nancy & Mark were great hosts and made us feel welcomed. We will definitely be coming back! If you’re looking for a low key mellow beach vibe, this will be your happy place.It’s definitely ours.

Wonderful spot in Poipu

We (couple toddler) spent nine nights here, and wouldn't have changed a thing. The house was literally a four-minute walk from the water, which was great for letting our kid get his wiggles out multiple times a day. In addition to being squeaky clean, the house seemingly had everything we needed for cooking at home, comfortable trips to the beach, and day trips to the other side of the island. Will be recommending to our friends/parents for future trips to Kauai.

SMART Accommodations

Everything about is 5 Star, but the best thing was that the owners thought of the little things that others miss. Your wireless mouse battery dies, the have one. Long lighter hanging right next to grill. Shoe rack just inside door. It's the little things that matter.logical cabinet.

4th Time We Have Rented

We have been coming to Poipu for 25 years. This is the most convenient and comfortable location we have stayed. The house is clean and comfortable for two couples. It has the easiest parking imaginable; well supplied for cooking/BBQing at home; short walking distance to the Poipu Beach/Brennecke's. Hard to beat.

Fantastic Stay

We had a wonderful time staying at this property. Property was very clean, beds were comfortable (my personal preference is firm, this one was soft), kitchen was fully functional, great location, calm & quit, close to beach. restaurants within 1.5 miles, driving in and out was easy.

Well Appointed

The house was clean and as advertised. It was equipped with pleanty of dishes for home cooked meals. The beds were comfortable. Plenty of beach towels, beach chairs, and other beach things. The house, while not directly on the water, is a short walk to the beach. It is in a great location. We would definitely stay here again in the future.

Perfect location. Beautiful house

Perfect location on south of Kauai. Very short around the corner walk to beach, great swimming, sunsets and whale sightings too. The house was an excellent base camp for our family. Very relaxing setting for starting and ending the days and the house had all the amenities needed plus more. It’s a long journey to Hawaii but if we find ourselves back in Kauai this house will be our number 1 preferred location to stay. Thank you for sharing your amazing home with us!

Great location for morning coffee on the beach!

Location was so great just a block from the shoreline; spent most mornings walking to the beach with coffee in hand, and sat watching turtles, whales, dolphins, ahhhh! The property is so comfortable, nice lanai to eat meal and gardens around house are beautiful. I liked that it was tucked in on gravel road so no traffic noise or business. Super clean, and kitchen open and good cooking space and utensils. The beds were comfortable, and linens great. Great condition, but a bit dated and needs painting - I was a little worried when I first walked up to house because outside needs paint. Thank you very much to Nancy who helped us our last night; we were locked out of the house (our fault) and she saved us a lot of grief by helping us get in without too much trouble. Much appreciation!!

Staycation - Self Care

We have owned a home in Kalaheo for 25 yrs + - I spend winters on Kauai and then some - I spend Feb as a self care month and find a spot to be solo, and am very pleased that I chose this amazing location and home. Everything - and I mean everything is as the site states. Very organized, clean, fully stocked... I could go on and on. I know how to live on the island so that is a bonus - my suggestion would be if the roosters/chickens bother you bring your ear plugs - I carry a box fan where ever I travel on island as a sound machine. I am usually Northshore but am very happy I switched it up this year. Thank you to Nancy for the welcoming gift. A Hui Hou, Mone'

Perfect location!

This house is walking distance to the beaches and hosts have provided all that is needed for fun filled days including boards, umbrella, chairs, etc. Property was clean with very well stocked kitchen and bathrooms, we appreciated the extra towels. Very comfortable beds. Would love to return to this place!

Once again this was such a great place to stay. Hosts Mark and Nancy are so welcoming, and always leave a few delicious snacks in the kitchen, particularly the local bananas which we look forward to each time we visit! We're already planning our next visit...

Great stay at Poipu Beach House

My wife/I had a great time staying at the Poipu Beach House!!! It was immaculately clean, quiet/restful, very convenient to the Poipu Beach … every morning we’d walk there to watch the sunrise, and see the Green Sea Turtles before they returned to the ocean for the day. The house had everything we needed, including the important stuff to make coffee 🙂. We valued the little touches, like the welcoming bag of Kaua’i coffee, granola, etc. and the storage plastic bags. Breakfast on the deck every morning was a treat. Our hosts Nancy and Mark were very gracious; including when they were aware that we had a reservation on the north end of the island … which we couldn’t get into until the afternoon … offering us a delayed checkout. We would absolutely return to the Poipu Beach House, and will look forward to doing so. Steve and Joann

Back Again

This was the 3rd time we have stayed here which should say a lot. The place is well located in Poipu. Easy access and parking and very comfortable and clean. The kitchen has everything you need to BBQ or cook at home if you want to do so. Hope to come back next spring.

Wow is all I can say! Everything was at our fingertips all the way down to ice packs for the coolers, we enjoyed our stay thoroughly, very comfortable all the way around. The only thing I would of changed is the neighbors, must of been guests but not sure cause they had a dog and 5 trucks, crowding the driveway and very loud at times. Other then that we will stay here again and recommend for anyone to do so as well! I enjoyed being so close to the beach watching the sunsets! Thank you to the hosts as they were very prompt the entire time maholo

Perfect Home and Location

Mark was very easy to work with and quick to respond to our questions. We had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful beach house, and it exceeded our expectations. The house is perfectly situated, allowing for easy access to the sand and waves. The living spaces are spacious and comfortable, making it an ideal place for a family vacation or a getaway with friends. The kitchen is well-equipped with modern appliances, making it easy to prepare meals. One of our favorite features of the house was the outdoor deck, which provided a perfect spot for morning coffee or relaxing in the evening. The bedrooms were cozy. The bathrooms had plenty of hot water and fluffy towels. Overall, our stay offered the perfect combination of relaxation and adventure, with the beach so close for snorkeling and the location was perfect for visiting nearby towns. We would definitely rent the house in the future!
