"The cabin was absolutely beautiful and cozy. The appliances appeared to be new and everything worked perfectly. It was also very nice that essentials like coffee filters trash bags kitchen supplies laundry detergent were all provided. The cabin is located in a neighborhood but felt private and secluded from the back porch which overlooks Island lake. We usually stay at a remote cabin but I now prefer a place like this due to the convenience to the harbor and restaurants. This cabin will be at...

"Right on the water as described and be sure to go eat at their restaurant."

"Nice little get away spot. View was beautiful, beds and shower comfortable. We would have benefited from a pearing knife to cut our bagel and apple. One other suggestion is a taller faucet in one of the sinks to better wash dishes and fill water bottles. Great spot! I would highly recommend!"

"Location was close to all services but very quiet. People with mobility issues would have trouble accessing the rental. Definitely would choose this property again. "

"Feedback to VRBO: would be nice to have an Insta pot, new non-stick frying pan, crockpot, outdoor waders & boot rack with cover, outdoor chairs & table/umbrella, swifter pads to clean floors; otherwise everything was acceptable and suitable for our 10 day stay, quite & relaxing location."

"The house was very nicely finished and the location was amazing! Our host was very accommodating when we got in a bind with a cancelled flight. We were in Kodiak on business so we didn't have much time to explore but would love to come back and stay here again and take a fishing trip and sightseeing tour with Rick and Hope!"

"Lovely stay at Flying Bear.The two story townhouse was spacious, comfortable, and stocked with all the necessities for an enjoyable stay.Host was attentive and responded quickly to questions.It’s about a mile out of town, good walk on a nice day, but about 10 taxi on rainy days. Don’t use Uber or Lyft on the island, easily 3x more expensive than an old-fashioned cab.Recommend!"

"Very clean and accessible to everything in town."

"It was indeed an awesome view. The hosts are really friendly. It has a separate entrance which is nice. Walking distance to downtown if you don't have a car, but if you do there is a place to park. It is built on a hill in front of the ocean, and requires walking down a flight of stairs each time you come and go. We enjoyed sitting on the back deck just taking in the scenery and sounds. "

"Another beautiful property with views and easy access to float plane launch, stores (Safeway & Walmart), and "downtown" which on Kodiak Island is very quaint House is about one mile from harbor, where there is a minimal, brewery, Nuniaq (breakfast/lunch), Henry's, Aquamarine restaurant (side-by-side), bank, info center, all near harbor and easy walking distance. Property, was roomy, clean, and allowed for parking on or off street. Overall, a very relaxing and enjoyable stay, and the owners...
