Very clean, recently remodeled and well-maintained home with 3 bedrooms (with queen size beds) and 2 bathrooms. Fully stocked kitchen and BBQ on deck. Spacious and comfortable rooms. TV and internet access are available. Panoramic ocean view. Beautiful view of mountains. Two minute walk to Millbay Beach for beach combing, fishing and water sports. Quick walk to nature trails at Abercrombie State Park.

Very nice places to stay. The beds were very nice. We were all able to get a good nights sleep. The only issue for us was steps. It would have been nice to have a ramp to carry in luggage and groceries.

Regrettably, no parade was thrown in my honor upon checking in. In retrospect, no one made an attempt on my life wile there, so it may be a good place to hide from assassins. The house was clean and comfortable. host made it easy to extend a day when needed. highly recommended.

The beds were very comfortable, the neighborhood quiet, and the location within a brisk walk to the shopping area. It was obvious that the owner cares for the property and has put a personal touch on it.

Kodiak Paradise

Great and easy location. Plenty of room and very nice interior. We stayed here 3 nights so we could enjoy fishing and sightseeing in Kodiak. Nice kitchen so we could prepare some meals.

Nice place, poor instructions/management.

Big, clean place, but no instructions on how to access place, weren’t able to lock house while we were gone. No instructions about door code, internet access or anything else. Second day was able to finally reach owner, code given didn’t work, so we had to take all our valuables with us everywhere. Good thing there’s a great housekeeper!

This property is a great place. 3 bed, 2 bath duplex. Five adults, two couples and a single. We had plenty of space. The property looks recently updated, was clean and tidy. 6 or 8 minutes from the marina. 5 minutes to Walmart and Safeway. I would stay here again.

Highs and lows

A very mixed review. This place is in a nice location with fair views. It has the potential to be an excellent place to stay. The price I felt was very fair for the island. However, the communication and check in process was a nightmare. The owner has no concerns about hospitality. The communication to check in was non existent and was very stressful. I did not receive any communication prior to our date of check in to receive check in instructions. A message was sent to owner on the morning of arrival but was not returned. We did not receive any check in instructions and the owner appeared even confused that we had a reservations after we were finally able to make a phone call connection. I was told she would call right back to which she did not and than waited 2 or so hours before we were able to reach her again. After multiple attempts to receive the door codes, we were blamed for not having the code. After voicing our frustration and trying to communicate, we were told to leave but were able to de-escalate the situation. Once going into the apartment, we discovered it had not been cleaned. Any further attempts to communicate with the owner was non existent until 330 in the morning. We ended up changing the linens ourselves and took trash out and placed prior linens in washer. The owner the next day did send a cleaner, however this was again after we had changed and washed our sheets.

Great Kodiak Getaway

Third time renting this property from Jennifer. She is an awesome person. Large 3 bedroom duplex that is kept super clean. Great kitchen for entertaining and nice outside deck. Would recommend this VRBO to any guests visiting Kodiak.

Kodiak Stay

We had a group of four that stayed for five days. Overall the property is nice, but it needs some maintenance work. 1. The garage door into the house sticks so bad, it's almost unusable. 2. Very few windows have screens, so it got quite warm inside since windows couldn't be opened. 3. The front door lock is a keypad type with a code to op[en and lock. After entering the code, it wouldn't lock/unlock consistently. Communication with the owner is non-existent. I sent several emails with no response. We call and left messages, no response. There are several VRBO's in Kodiak and while this one's nice, it wouldn't be my first choice.
